   Very disappointing experience. I called the hotel in advance and was given a lower price over the phone. After traveling a long distance and arriving at the hotel, they suddenly charged us a much higher price. This is not professional or fair at all. It caused a lot of stress and wasted our time. I strongly advise future guests to get the price confirmed in writing before going, otherwise you may face the same issue.

   We had a fantastic stay at Marine Land Motel in Napier! The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect location right by the beach and close to cafés and attractions, yet quiet at night. Highly recommend for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!

   I had a truly delightful stay at Marineland Motel in Westshore, Napier as everything came together beautifully for relaxing, comfortable accommodation with excellent service. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how warm and welcoming the staff were. They made check-in smooth and were full of helpful suggestions of nearby cafés, walks, and things to see. The location is fantastic, a stone’s throw from the beach, with nice sea views and easy access to restaurants and conveniences, yet peaceful enough that road noise wasn’t an issue. My unit was an Executive Studio, spacious, sunny, and very well set-out. It had a huge king bed plus an additional pull-out couch, plenty of space for relaxation. The kitchenette facilities (microwave, stovetop, crockery) were more than adequate for light meals, which was a big bonus. Housekeeping kept everything spotless. One of the highlights was the spa tub in the bathroom, perfect for unwinding after a full day of exploring Napier. And being so close to the water, I loved taking morning walks across the road by the beach. The “front” and “rear” entrances give you options depending on whether you want more of a harbour or sea-side atmosphere. Overall, Marineland Motel delivered excellent value. It’s quiet, comfortable, beautifully positioned, and run by staff who genuinely care. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing base in Napier.

   I stayed at Marineland Motel recently and honestly could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and made me feel at home straight away with genuine warmth and helpfulness. My room was spotless and surprisingly spacious, with everything laid out in a way that felt practical and thoughtful. The kitchenette had all I needed for a longer stay, and it was clear the place is maintained with care. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the small touches like extra towels and good lighting, which are often overlooked elsewhere. The location is unbeatable. I loved waking up, stepping outside, and being just across from the beach for a morning walk. At the same time, it was only a short drive into Napier’s centre, so I had the best of both worlds peace and quiet plus easy access to everything I wanted to see and do. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. Even though it’s a motel, it never felt impersonal. It had that balance between privacy and friendliness that made me feel like more than just a guest number. The indoor pool was an unexpected bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day out. I left wishing I had booked a few more nights. If you’re visiting Napier and want comfort, space, and genuinely kind hosts in a location that puts you right by the sea, Marineland Motel is the place. An easy 10/10 for me.

   A great location, clean rooms, included fridge, included WiFi and nice breakfast selection were the reasons I booked with this motel, and they have consistently met my expectations. I've stayed repeatedly at this location and have been pleased with how supportive the staff are. Frankly I find staying here to be more satisfying than a higher end hotel. Highly recommended!

   The hotel was bit expensive but nice. Bed was comfortable and the shower was one of the best ones I have experienced in a hotel/motel. Amenities were perfect, and included the ability to pick DVDs at the front desk. Would definitely recommend this motel to anyone traveling through Napier

   The room facilities are definitely needed to maintain better or renew. The oven has no baking tray, the towels are fraying, flies are in the room basically, stinky smell in the toilet at night, six people but less forks, spoon, or plates, heated pool in the room but not working. Not a good experience especially during your Christmas holiday. Should be more focus to run the business I feel. The staff is good though.

   Staying in the family units on a very hot summers night. Great for kids of Primary School age as you can walk along the beachfront or the estuary. Restaurant next door have a kids menu with good portion size and great to be able to charge to your room. Unit kitchen is well appointed for a long stay and self catering. Good access to the Expressway and also a short drive to Eastshore and Marine Parade. Will be staying again when in the area.
