“Our three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were treated like royalty throughout their many stays in 2023. Michelle and Dave are awesome. My boys always looked so happy on the videos of the day and with each return visit they charged into reception with unbridled enthusiasm. Worth the extra distance of travel knowing they were happy and well cared for. Thank you team, doggy licks from Digby, little Tom and Toby-Tenzing.”

“Great facility and our cat came back happy and well. Deborah was great to deal with. We had been struggling to secure a cattery over Easter and Deborah let us know when she had a cancellation and was able to take our pet on short notice. She was also great about extending his planned stay and was clear on communication feeding information and pick up/drop off. Will definitely use in the future”

“I drive my cats out here from North New Brighton because the gardens & landscaping they have built around the cattery is beautiful, and it makes me feel good because it's like a little cat resort. Their comms are great, friendly people, and the hygiene standard is top-notch, as is their professionalism. Highly recommend.”

“Very convenient to central Christchurch. Stayed here a couple of times, Summer and Winter and the contrast is interesting. There is a back deck outside area with covers and heaters. Drag blankets from the games room too if needed. Cosy villa all around. Can't wait to stay again.”

“Thank you Chet and Steve of being a very good and lovely hosts. Very good stay, the room is cosy, clean and comfortable. They have small little pantry in the room itself - coffee, tea, water and a kettle to boil water. Toilet amenities are also provided. And I like the surrounding garden with planted apples, pears, plums, lavenders and so many others. Walking distance to the nearby cafes and restaurants, and 15km to the Christchurch international airport. As my flight is very early, so I don’t have chance to have the breakfast, which I really love to do it in my next visit again.”

“Absolute fantastic value for money at the Darfield Motel. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. We stayed for four nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Spacious, warm and wonderfully clean rooms. Well equipped kitchenette. Walking distance to the amazing bakery and other places to eat. Thank you Darfield Motel for a warm welcome and perfect stay. “A colleague and I stayed in Sumner Bay Motel recently and would be more than happy to stay here again. The service and friendliness of Sophie and Mark was outstanding. We were in the 2 bedroom unit, 2 lovely comfy couches in the good sized living space, beautifully equipped kitchen and comfy beds, Very warm when it was freexing outside. Highly recommend, great motel, great location”

From the start Georgia made everything easy I was unsure of what class would best suit our needs so we arranged a pre training assessment. We met with Kerry, who listened and made me feel that he cared and that he genuinely wanted to show me how to help my dog and I to work together as a team. “Great central location with an easy walk to many highlights of the city, especially New Regent St for coffee, gelato and dining. Warm comfortable suite with everything we needed for a 5 day staycation. Beautiful building and lively atmosphere out front was always a great welcome home. Communication from Zeenie & Sarah was exceptional given unexpected change in travel plans. Would definitely book again.”
