“Best place to take walks on. Very spacious park and has been a part of Christchurch’s identity as the Garden City. Plenty of spaces to take walks and jogs on. Beautifully carved and is clean every time, so you can see how well it’s been taken care of and how disciplined everyone visiting is. Christchurch truly is beautiful and Hagley Park adds to that!”
“Such a beautiful shared cycling and trapping trail. And with a strong link to the Pike River disaster.”
“Great place to go for a walk. Take my dogs most days, they love it too”
“Beautiful gardens immaculately maintained. Delightful flora thoughtfully planted amongst older trees.”
“Amazing new playground, well designed for kids of all ages. Very creative play equipment. Kids there have been very well mannered and play well together. There are sheltered benches to rest and a drinking fountain. Plenty of parking in the carpark. Location is great, just opposite the aquatic centre so we usually pop over for a swim after a play. Toilets are a few mins walk away, not very close.”
“I nice quiet little park with shaded seating, bins and toilet facilities. Lots of fun equipment but the slide stairs are rounded and not very great to climb up. Kids loved it!”
“What a great place to go with the family. Great beach with lifeguard, playground pool and mountain bike trails. Huge amount of walking tracks through forest and along the wetlands with lots of birds. The beach is huge and great to drive along. Highly recommend.”
“A lovely park to walk right the way through or stop and sit in the rotunda and admire the view. A bird aviary and kids pool and playground plus toilet block can be found within the grounds of these gardens”
“Went to the Hagley Oval to watch New Zealand vs England. Fantastic venue with easy access to the botanic gardens and the city.”
“Great park great playground. Loads of fun and have a toilet near by. Beach is not far away”
“Small intimate park very cozy, next to te Aratai high school”
“Great park and also a great place to get fresh water !”
“A lovely space rice in the middle of Hornby”
“Good small park for walking dogs. They also added a nice 300m track, without too many holes. Great place to practice rugby. Quite far from the road and sheltered with trees making this park nice and relaxing. It's not very busy either and it had a nice playground. The footpath does need some repairs because when it rains there is a massive puddle where you have to go in the muddy grass to go around it, so not ideal. But other things make up for this.”
“There are secrets to find in Matawai Park, Rangiora, if you are observant enough to find them.”
“GREAT place for having fun wiwith kids.”
“Warren park, is a good park, and it’s big, we just went for a walk, it’s good for walking dogs, and even going for a picnic, I recommend it to all”
“Also known as The Fortress. Home ground to the mighty R.S.A Football Club.”
“I like this place. Quiet and windy sometimes. Lots of wind surfers. The estuary smells when its’s dry.”

“Excellent for football ⚽ my grandson loved it”
“Is a nice park with a separate large dog and small dog exorcise gourd . Is not big enough if you got large dog for them but small dog is ok”
“Nice simple play ground with appropriate excercise equipments with everything that is required to do a basic workout. It is located in Woolston Park which is a nice open space to do other sports and excercise. It's a nice park as not many people use it but has all the good facilities and are well maintained.”
“Great visit thanks to the volunteers keeping this running. Support this marvellous place, an-example of how the “old timers” lived. Brent at the model trains was particularly interesting. I hope the government can also see the value and start the funding once again.”
“Nice hot spa while watching grandies in lazy river and shallow pool”
“Facilities a bit old, but kits had a lot of fun”
