   Top notch motel in a great location. Stayed here on a work trip with a few colleagues and we were all super impressed with the rooms - very clean, well stocked toiletries and great little coffee machines. Ed and Esme were very friendly and accomodating. My new fave place to stay in Christchurch.

   I had my full team from Auckland stay at the Milano this week. We booked direct which was very easy, and Ed and Esme made the team feel at home. The rooms were beautiful, clean and the location is so convenient. Would highly recommend, and great value for money.

   Wow! What a super wee hotel. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer. Ed and Esmae have created a wonderful accomodation, and their passion for good hospitality is clear. Some highlights for me - a personal welcome by Ed, who then showed us around our room and explained the facilities - check in is 2pm, which is slightly earlier than other hotels weve stayed in... it makes all the difference though! - high quality room amenities such as T2 tea and Nespresso coffee machine. Small things like USB plugs also make all the difference. We also loved the cheese and biscuits! - air conditioning! First hotel in NZ we stayed in to have this! - cute details such as soduko book and puzzle books. - super clean! - a lovely walk to the city center. No more than 30 mins, and through a lovely part of town. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. One thing to note is that the current proprietors took over about 3 years ago and fully renovated the place. So please only consider reviews from circa 3 years to now... and you'll notice they are consistently high! Thank you Milano!

   We are presently staying at this outstanding hotel /motel in Merivale Christchurch and it is a 5* Established in every way. Coffee machine with a choice of 4 different sized coffee cups . A platter for your cheeses plus much more in the kitchen . Amazing bed & linens , bathroom is stocked with an excellent choice of shower gel moisturiser shampoo & conditioner and best of all a magnifying mirror for putting on your makeup. It is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. An excellent choice for our needs.

   We had a wonderful last minute stay at Milano. The rooms are very nicely appointed, updated, and roomy… the beds were very comfortable and kitchen was fully equipped for our needs! Nespresso was a great bonus too. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodate us at the last minute. I could not recommend Milano more highly!

   I returned to Milano Lodge twice in 2 weeks, why - because of the outstanding friendly service I received. Both Esmae and Ed were fantastic Hosts, nothing was an issue. The rooms were above and beyond as far as cleanliness and what was available within them. I would highly recommend this location to anyone travelling to Christchurch.

   I booked my parents here for 2 nights, as their flights were redirected via Christchurch, to Auckland. I couldn't be happier when I heard about the new owner, Esmae, who went above and beyond for them! She greeted them at 3AM, gave them welcome goodies and was incredibly helpful till check-out. Thank you Esmae for being such a wonderful host and taking such good care of my parents / your guests. They loved the lovely accommodation, central location, being able to walk to shops and most of all, the staff and their warm hospitality. Highly recommend this property!
