“Great location for an airport hotel and surprisingly great food great view and wonderful staff. Highly recommend this as a hotel to stay before or after your flight. Beds were very comfortable and spacious rooms with good showers. Buffet breakfast is a must with great selections and as a platinum member we were given barista coffee. Unfortunately there wasn’t an executive lounge for us but still a great hotel.”

“We came to the Christchurch airport Bunnings store after having abysmal service (ie none) at the Tower Junction store. The service at the airport branch was really good, very helpful and attentive and we were able to find everything we needed. After purchasing a number of very large items for our outdoor lounge furniture, a young man helped my husband load the items onto the roof of our car and stayed to check everything was ok. We were impressed with the service here and would choose this store over others which are closer to us.”

“Fantastic experience renting with Ezicar. Staff at the counter was very helpful and the Toyota Prado 2024 was in perfect condition. Car pick-up and return is located at the airport's rental car parking lot, making the entire rental experience seamless. Go for the Ezi Ultra insurance coverage and do not cheap out! There will be many trucks travelling at fast speeds passing you and getting rock chips/scratches is quite possible.”

“We had a very pleasant stay at Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel and stayed in the Premium King Room. We were checked in by the friendly Wade, and we would like to thank him for his professionalism and warm hospitality. His calm composure while managing multiple big group of check ins at once was truly impressive and worth mentioning. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the pillow menu, which gave us a great night sleep. The location is also extremely convenient, it was just minutes from Christchurch Airport and within walking distance to Woolworths and several nearby food places. The free parking for hotel guests was another big plus. We also had dinner at Acheron at level 1, and were served by the welcoming Alan. We overheard he’s still a student, but we were genuinely impressed by his friendliness and service. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Would happily return!”

“We had a great experience with Ace rentals. We have tried them in Australia many times but this was first time with ace rentals New Zealand. Their services have really impressed us. Firstly shuttle from airport is so easy and quick to book, and you can book in advance via website. Pick up process is very good and smooth and they had already got our ready with all add ons we requested. On the trip we had got a chip on screen, and we got it checked as well. Then we got a invoice from ac rentals which was less than half of what was quoted by three different repair guys. And ace rentals dealt with it very smoothly with no inconvenience at our end. I’m always gonna use ace car rentals in New Zealand in future. They have my satisfaction”

“I have food allergies that can make it tricky eating out. The burger King at chch airport were very careful with my food and even remade it to avoid an allergen. Very helpful and patient. “It's really a precious memory for us in New Zealand. We rented a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for our trip in May and drove more than 1400km. We didn't counter any issue, the car was in a very good condition when we picked at the agency. The staff was nice too, helped us to learn a little bit time of traveller regulations in New Zealand. Defenitely we will take GO RENTALS again in our next trip, couldn't recommend more !”

“Worked a Corporate Challenge in Christchurch this week. Commodore Hotel was exceptionally localed for both the event and airport. It has the most luxurious bed. It was like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen was open for a late night dinner, which was very much appreciated with finishing so late. The breakfast this morning was delicious. Offering both a Continental Breakfast and brilliant A La Carte. I opted for the Continental which was perfectly satisfying.”

“I had a very good experience with Bargain Rental Cars. An easy process for the actual rental, good pricing, very quick response for being picked up at Christchurch terminal. The staff at the Christchurch airport location were very friendly and explained all that I needed to know. The car itself was an older car but clean. It had lots of little scratches but mechanicy was very good. The back up camera was not great but I use the rear view mirrors anyway, so not a big deal. I did ask for a smaller vehicle than what I got but it didn't turn out to be an issue. I would highly recommend renting from BRC and I will use them again when I return to New Zealand.”

The vehicle was clean and comfortable, making my journey stress-free, not to mention that we have 23 luggages for 12 persons. “We stayed here twice recently on our way in and out of NZ. The service was amazing. Each person we spoke with was friendly and helpful. The woman who works the night shift and does the shuttle runs in particular was incredible. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There’s an onsite restaurant and playground. The shuttle service was very much appreciated as we had one of the last flights in and first flights out. We would definitely stay here again.”
