“My family and I have stayed at different motels over the years, and this one is our favorite by far. My youngest is on the spectrum and this place is his absolute favorite place. He is especially fussy about alot of things, but this motel just seems to relax him. My other children just love the vibe the rooms have. The staff are friendly and it's relatively close to shops. Given the chance, my kids would live at Tui lodge. Fantastic accommodation.”

Fantastic spot right next to the cafe and Diamond Harbour eatery, with easy access to the ferry and lots of walking tracks. Really loved being able to have our dog stay with us too. “Stayed for 2 nights when first arriving in Christchurch, the motel was so good that we returned for the last 3 days of our trip. Marko was very accomodating and the beds were amazing. Could barely hear the traffic despite being on a relatively busy road, and was very nicely located to the mall. 10/10”

“I cannot recommend 306 Riccarton Hotel enough! From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel so welcome with their warm hospitality, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their friendliness and willingness to help at all times truly made a difference. The price was affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we hardly heard any road noise. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with everything we could possibly need—and then some! The location is ideal, within walking distance to nearby shops etc so everything was super convenient. We’ll absolutely be returning to 306 Riccarton Hotel next time we’re in Christchurch. The motel was perfectly located just across a major Supermart (Pak n Save), and their prompt service made check-in seamless. “Had a fantastic stay at the Randolph Apartments over Labour Weekend! Fantastic well appointed rooms, so clean and tidy, host really friendly and helpful! Also walking distance from some good restaurants! Also loved the fact that they had a bottle of dishwashing liquid not those horrible little sachets! Will definitely stay again!”

“Well located motel just minutes from the Botanic Gardens. We arrived in 5 deg C weather and the heating was turned on for us to enjoy the room immediately. Very thoughtful gesture. Our room had 1 king bed, 2 twin beds, a kitchenette, a dining table with 4 chairs, and a toilet. Comfortable space for 4 adults. Only issue is that the beds are a little on the soft side but pillows are firm & high, which made for a pretty weird sleep at an angle. Washer & dryer available, which were very useful! Kitchen had a full sized fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, French Press, and an induction stove, hob, and pots and pans. Functional! Definitely recommend this place for those looking for a simple, fuss-free but comfortable stay but don't mind soft beds.”

“This motel is one of the top three motel rooms I've ever stayed in and I'm nearly 50 years of age...that's in Australia and here...certainly the best one we stayed at on our trip in New Zealand. The mattress has actually fixed my back from the previous motel rooms that we stayed in elsewhere on our trip. We got the top of the line room and it was so worth it... had everything and really spacious. The television has a normal remote control as well making it easy to use. The help and availability from the manager was really comforting as well...so friendly. Put a smile on the dial of my dearest and made for a great evening for the both of us. Only 200 metres from the only pub in town too...5 stars.”

“I stayed in November 2024 for 2 days with a late check out. I wanted to give this motel a review as I found the staff extremely helpful as it was my first time in Christchurch. I want to commend the staff making our stay great. The location is fantastic - great bus routes to airport, city and beyond and the Riccarton Mall literally across the road. Being self contained and having a mall across the road made it easy to get supplies to cook food etc. I really recommend Dean Bush Motel - ring them instead of going thru a book app to get the best deal.”

“Just want to thank the lovely family who manage the Vita Nova Motel for a great stay. We landed at midnight and we were able to arrange a late checkin. The unit was really clean, bed was so comfortable, Netflix to chill out at night, had all the necessary amenities and great service. Daily house keeping was excellent, she was thorough and showed great attention to detail. Laundry facilities were useful. Location was great, central to everything. Would definitely stay again. “Great location as my son needed surgery at Southern Cross Hospital which was just down the road , easy check in and check out, rooms, bathroom very clean and due to location being on a main road I thought the traffic would keep us up but didn’t at all, also extra bonus it has 3 bedrooms so my son, myself and parents all got their own room.
