This is a great stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff, service was exceptional. Had a meal in the Dinning room which was good. 24 hr front desk was good to. They provided free shuttle service, which was a bonus with the rain. Recommended stay.
We had a great stay! The hotel is extremely convenient as it’s very close to the airport. We arrived early and didn’t expect to check in since the usual check-in time is 2pm — we only planned to drop off our luggage before heading to the Antarctic Centre. But surprisingly, our room was already ready and the staff kindly let us check in early with no extra charge. The location is perfect. It took us about 5 minutes to walk to the Antarctic Centre, and afterwards we walked straight to a restaurant in the same complex where Woolworths is. Very convenient, and the food was delicious. For early flights, this hotel is ideal because they run a 24-hour shuttle bus. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep before our early departure. Overall, we had a smooth and pleasant stay. We’ll definitely come back!
My flight was cancelled today, so the airline arranged a stay for me at Sudima Hotel. I was quite disappointed at first because of the cancellation, but the hotel was very comfortable and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly — it really lifted my mood. I returned to the hotel late at night and needed some help, and Anderson assisted me with genuine kindness. In that moment, I truly felt how much the team cared about their guests. I can’t forget Anderson — he was thoughtful, attentive, and made my stay so much better. Mike was also very helpful. Thanks to them, a stressful day turned into a surprisingly pleasant one. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. I really appreciate it. Highly recommended!
We had a very pleasant stay at Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel and stayed in the Premium King Room. We were checked in by the friendly Wade, and we would like to thank him for his professionalism and warm hospitality. His calm composure while managing multiple big group of check ins at once was truly impressive and worth mentioning. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the pillow menu, which gave us a great night sleep. The location is also extremely convenient, it was just minutes from Christchurch Airport and within walking distance to Woolworths and several nearby food places. The free parking for hotel guests was another big plus. We also had dinner at Acheron at level 1, and were served by the welcoming Alan. We overheard he’s still a student, but we were genuinely impressed by his friendliness and service. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Would happily return!
We booked here since it's really close to the airport but no doubts that was a good choice of hotel. The only thing that maybe people for restaurant looks upset and like bored to talk and bad looking when we ask for things. The rest was perfect.
Typical airport hotel, 5 to 10 min walk with bags and suitcases from terminal. Nice and quiet. Nice rooms. Modern and clean. Gym was disappointing as it was offsite. Not cheap. Overall a perfectly good airport hotel.
The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable but I was unable to have a warm shower in the morning as apparently it’s first in first served and they run out of hot water. Tried to have a warm shower at about 7.15am - not possible. Called the front desk about it, was told they could try moving me to another room (apparently some rooms don’t run out?). I didn’t have time for this and it would have also involved getting dressed to move - didn’t see the point. I think it’s totally unacceptable not to be able to have a warm shower, especially at the price you pay for a room. Two stars is for the bed, I had a good night sleep.
The hotel is vast and rooms are comfortable. One problem I encountered was only one outlet near a table to be able to charge laptops and if you have a couple of devices pack a multi plug. The desk seemed to be the most likely place to find the outlet but instead it was in a corner where a lamp was plugged into it. There are facilities for families like laundry. It's right next to the airport so if you're on a very early flight it's perfectly situated. The decor could use a bit of TLC but the saving grace was the team who work here. Smiles all around and nothing was ever a problem.
The staff at the hotel while under pressure from hosting large groups of tourists were fantastic. They were not only friendly, extreemly helpful and great with giving directions. I stayed one night and as it was too far from the city, (handy if you need to use the airport) l moved in to town. My room was clean and had a new carpet on the floor, just great. The food was good too had dinner bed and breakfast. Recommended
