   Our experience renting with Ezi car rental for our South Island trip was excellent from start to finish! Highly recommended. We booked a couple of months in advance and the reservation was confirmed without having to pay for it first. We also managed to use a coupon for a discount so do look out for those. The booth is near the exit after collecting your luggage. We waiting a short while and was briefed on dos and do nots before proceeding to collect the car on our own from the car park. There was some anxiety about this but we managed to do so easily. We also appreciated that they fixed the booster seat for us (which is not done in other places such as Australia). The car was exactly as I had selected - a Ford Escape - and was in good condition. We dropped it off at the Kilmore city branch and this requires you to turn left after the Ezi shared office (with Avis, Apex and what not) and entering the car park. All staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

   We saw tire threads are worn out. But we did not go back to rental office as we were getting late to drive to our destination. It simply burst on the side causing us delay and reschedule our tour. Worst we were asked to replace the tire for US$260/-. We think the rental car company either should put new tire before renting out or bear the cost of replacement. The car had numerous scratches but the existing damage paper had no mention of it. We had to take pictures and vedio to protect us. In response to Robert Osborne from EZ: Please see the tire picture uploaded and check its thread state. No renter degrades thredas to that extent in 4 days. The tire burst spot is white marked. If company makes renter responsible tire threads shiuld not be at this worn out state.

   Excellent Service at Ezi Car Rental – Christchurch Airport We had such a wonderful experience with Ezi Car Rental at Christchurch Airport. Adam, the staff member who assisted us, went the extra mile from start to finish. Since it was our first time renting a car, he patiently explained how everything works and even showed us a map with current road works and closures. He took the time to review our itinerary to make sure we wouldn’t encounter any weather or road issues — truly impressive service! The process was fast and smooth — I expected it to take 30 minutes to an hour, but it was all done in under 10 minutes. The car park was easy to find and completely hassle-free, making the whole pickup experience even better. We booked through Booking.com, and the car we received was exactly what we wanted: a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, almost brand new with only 5,000 km on the clock. Overall, we’re extremely pleased with the service and the vehicle. Highly recommended! Tip: Don’t forget to bring your driver’s licence and credit card (the cardholder’s name must match the booking).

   Fantastic experience renting with Ezicar. Staff at the counter was very helpful and the Toyota Prado 2024 was in perfect condition. Car pick-up and return is located at the airport's rental car parking lot, making the entire rental experience seamless. Go for the Ezi Ultra insurance coverage and do not cheap out! There will be many trucks travelling at fast speeds passing you and getting rock chips/scratches is quite possible.

   This was my first time using Ezi Car Rental. I found the whole booking process online quick, clear and easy to use. The 0800 staff were great in helping me with a gold card query. Staff at pickup and drop off were very helpful and friendly. The car was exactly what we needed for our short stay in Christchurch. My sister and I enjoyed driving it. I will be looking for an Ezi Car Rental option next time I need to rent a vehicle. Many Thanks

   Excellent place to rent your car from if travelling around New Zealand. It is one of the cheapest options I found while researching for car rentals. The car they provided me was very new as well. Low mileage and very clean. Hassle free pick up of the car. Highly recommended to buy the excess waiver cover which I did. As the roads in New Zealand some have very steep slopes hence will result in the bottom of the car being scratch. However with the excess waiver cover I do not need to worry about all these.

   I had a car for a week, everything was good from start to finish and I recommend ezi. I used a different rental company in the North Island and it was a mistake. Ezi cars rental desks are in the airports which make a big difference compared to off site rental companies who charge for out of hours pickup and drop off. Ezi has longer hours so you don't have to use a shuttle to get to the off airport depots. So my advice is always to choose your rental company on the basis of how long the desk is open and where it is located.
