“We dined here today. We started with appetizers which were nice. But the highlight fir me was my main which was fish catch of the day snapper. It was superb. The others had Surf and turf which they said was ok and another had the lamb cutlets which she enjoyed. Meals came out quickly. Service was splendid. We had a lovely dinner here.”

“A humble outlet run by a gem of a person, tasty food prepared using fresh ingredients I have visited the outlet many times tried hoki and snapper with chips. In addition, I have tried squid and sausages. The food here is delicious and I will keep visiting this place periodically. Great place serving scrumptious food.”

“Every time I go to Auckland, I make sure to visit Windross House. I’m always greeted with a smile and the service is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. My favourites dishes are the classic mango chicken and garlic Prawns for entree. It’s a must visit when in Auckland!!”

“Super nice steak if you want to treat yourself. I found the service was a bit slow but the food was top notch. They show you the cuts before you order which is really handy as if you are not an officialdo then it is not clear what you are going to get. Order you mains, sauce and then side. You are talking about $100-$150 per person by the time you include drinks and sides. The meat was super tender and glad we came. We went on a Thursday and it was busy, with people sitting outside. Well worth a visit and the food quality of food is excellent.”

“Was just passing by and thought it looked tasty in the window so came back for dinner and wow ! It's been a long time since I've had a steak so good. I ordered the Pacific steak which is a filet mignon stuffed with crab and topped with prawns and béarnaise sauce and there wasn't a slither of fat on it, was cooked just right and I really enjoyed it. The decor is cute I was reading the menu about Tony's story being the og steakhouse of Auckland and he said it was English pub inspired, as a Brit who hasn't been home in 4 months I enjoyed that (speaking of it was so much cheaper than what we'd pay in England for a steak) I also found the staff really nice, didn't catch their names but they were nice and friendly”

“Just love Beachhouse Eatery. Food excellent. Just had Noodle Salad, new to the menu and a winner, staff are friendly and onto it, the view to die for and atmosphere so Orewa. My favourite eatery.”

“We were a group of 3, we ordered bbq ribs with wedges salad, grilled fish with roast potatoes salad, lamb shanks with mash and Veges for our mains. Amazing dishes, good portions. The service was attentive. Our entree jalapeño poppers were the best we've had. This is my 2nd time at this restaurant. We all left very happy with our meals! Will definitely be back again.”

“This restaurant has lots of wines with reasonable prices. And manager’s recommendation made my dinner perfect. Foods are delectable and you have to pair with wine. You can see a Mission bay with your meal, that makes you comfortable. Wonderful place!”

“Great place, loads of bars in browns bay but this one has a bit of character and the prices are the best around . Really nice friendly staff. Propa decent bit of food and portions are massive especially the hake and chips I think. If your just passing through I honestly recommend coming here for few beers and food.”

“This place is really great, and I have had an awesome experience and will probably be coming back soon. The atmosphere is cozy and pretty, and the service is friendly and helpful. I had vegetarian dishes like the vegetarian giozas and the tofu salad and found them very delicious, and the people I ate with had foods that contained meat such as the pork belly and the tiger prawns, and they enjoyed them a lot as well. We also had the Hiuse Sundae, and we loved it. It contained a new and interesting type of food which we had never tried before like the matcha ice cream, the black sesame ice cream and the yukimi daifuku, and it was so different than any dessert I've ever had, it was so great. My personal favourite dessert was the sweet, hot banana and chocolate spring roll. In short, this place is fantastic, it was a great experience and I warmly recommend it.”

“I ordered the chicken burger and the steak, and both were absolutely delicious. The chicken burger was fresh, filling, and beautifully put together — a crispy, flavourful chicken fillet in a soft bun with fresh lettuce, served with hot, perfectly cooked fries on the side. Simple, comforting, and very satisfying. The steak was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of flavour. It came with smooth, creamy mash, fresh vegetables, and a rich gravy that brought everything together so well. The portion size was generous, and the balance on the plate was spot on. Everything tasted fresh, well prepared, and thoughtfully cooked. A really enjoyable meal overall, and I would happily order both dishes again.”

“I had my 21st birthday party at Stonefields Public House and it was absolutely amazing! When I started planning months ago, the staff were so friendly and helpful when I came in to ask about hosting a 21st. The function space on the terrace was beautiful and could fit a large number of people. Their minimum spend for functions was so reasonable. I organised the catering and logistics over email, and they were so helpful and made the process of selecting food and drinks so easy. On the night they were so amazing, they helped us set up the space, the service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing. We had our own bar in the space which was so cute. They were so accommodating with what we wanted. I made a playlist that they played over the speakers in the function space, and set up a photo slideshow to show on the TVs in the space as well. Honestly, I had the best 21st ever and they are the reason for it! 6 stars out of 5!!!”

“Subway has always been my healthy, fast, go to meal place. Subway is always super busy when I visit, but usually the employees are quick and speedy about getting people in and out. I like that you can build your own sandwich if you want, places like Firehouse Subs only give specific sandwich options. All of the ingredients are super fresh and I have never had a bad sandwich from highbrook Subway.”

Upper Queen right opposite the park, small venue but very worth the penny you pay. Great Filipino hospitality, one person to handle almost everything still wear his natural smile. The pork ribs, steak and the adolbo (Filipino slow cooked pork ribs) are the three recommendations you must try.”

“Had a great experience overall! The food was absolutely excellent—every course was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The crew was warm and attentive, and the ambience was really cool and inviting. A special shoutout to the bartender—absolutely amazing! The only downside was the wait time. Our three-course meal took over two hours, which felt a bit too long. That said, the quality and vibe made it worth the wait. Would still recommend, especially if you're not in a rush.”
