“Very busy restaurant, we went around 7:30 and it’s nearly full house on a Wednesday night. Food was great and authentic as usual. You have a lot to choose from on their menu. Portion size is great, I won’t say it’s pricey.”

“This is one of the finest restaurants in Auckland city. I seldom write reviews about restaurants. My brother was a chef and you have to be pretty good to impress me. It is a popular Middle-Eastern and South-West Asian restaurant with authentic and traditional dishes. It is the "chef that makes the restaurant", not the other way round. The dishes were outstanding! I have just come back from Melbourne city and they blow away the competition over there. They win hands down, nobody comes even close to them. I had Tabouleh which comes from modern-day Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and Israel. It is a staple in Lebanese cuisine and has been a part of Middle Eastern culinary traditions for centuries. Greek salad, snapper and lamb. Every dish was fantastic!”

Food is absolutely remarkable; their sauces are so unique and really mouth-watering. My go-to is the wings & chips with the nice & spicy sauce (it plays so nicely with the blue cheese dip that comes with it). Top hidden jewel in NZ.”

“A great little find off the main road on Parnell. It was very quiet which was nice for us as a family of 5. Had really generous sized meals packed with lots of flavour. The drinks were nice and cold I enjoyed the passion fruit mojito. Our children loved their meals just a bit large for them. The lunch specials were delicious and very lovely service from the hosts. Reasonable pricing for quality meals.”

“The service was warm and cheerful. The wine list was carefully considered and excellent. All the food served was top notch. The manager actually stayed slightly late to help return some sunglasses left by one of our party which was really the icing on the cake. Thoroughly recommend”

“BBQ! I recommend the chorizo. The pork belly was also good, but the beef steak was quite tough (maybe due to the meat quality?). I liked that plenty of side salad was served with the main dish. When I visited, there was only one chef and one manager working, but they were professional and friendly even in a fully packed and busy situation – true superstars! It's a great place to stop by for a drink with the chorizo.”

“We recently went to Goodie Brothers in Botany and had such a great time that it deserves a proper shout-out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively, with a nice mix of modern décor and a relaxed, casual vibe that makes you want to stay a while. We started with the margarita pizza, which came out with a beautiful golden crust that had the perfect crunch on the outside and a soft, chewy bite inside. The tomato sauce tasted fresh and vibrant, and the mozzarella was melted evenly across the base with just the right balance of cheese and herbs so it wasn’t too heavy but still full of flavor. The fettuccine pasta followed and was just as impressive, with perfectly cooked al dente noodles coated in a creamy, well-seasoned sauce that felt indulgent without being overly rich, and the portion size was generous enough to share or enjoy on its own as a main. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the tiramisu, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night — light, airy layers of sponge soaked with just enough coffee, topped with creamy mascarpone and a dusting of cocoa that tied everything together beautifully. Alongside all this, we had a few drinks that were made well and complemented the food nicely, and throughout the evening the staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was enjoying themselves. It’s clear the team takes pride in both their food and service, which really makes a difference. Goodie Brothers feels like the kind of place where you can go for a casual catch-up with friends, a relaxed date night, or even just to treat yourself to a good meal, and leave satisfied every time. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot in Botany with great food, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.”

“Rather cool to find a restaurant that easily lives up to the reviews posted! Booked a table for two in advance, so no waiting for a table. Entree arrived within a few minutes of ordering, so nice prep work by the team. Prawn cocktail, delicious and decent size portion. My main was an eye fillet with pepper sauce, fries and topped with coated fried onions. Decent sized and just divine. Lemon cheese cake for dessert, and once again, rather yummy! Wife reckoned this was easily the best dinner out she'd had for a while. Can only agree with her on that. With a friendly crew, no wonder Bazza's gets so many good reviews.”

“I've had two great meals here with friends over the last year (which is also how often I've been to Auckland over the last year lol), the Mussels are delicious! This time they had a new dessert on the menu, a Banoffee Pie, and it was stand out good!! 100% will order again if I'm back in Auckland. The staff are fantastic, really attentive and good at what they do, they make you feel like family. And they are so careful with dietary restrictions, we have a few coeliacs in our group and with everything on the menu being available as gluten free, they really enjoyed themselves, and the staff double check about the dietary restrictions to ensure no issues.”

“Remember the good ole days where on a Friday, you'll pick up fish and chips from your local takeaway shop? This is one of those places. Run by a lovely Asian couple, we came around in the evenings after braving 40 minutes of traffic to get their fish and chips. From the looks of it, they maybe sell fresh fish during the day but the metal and glass cabinets were empty come the evening. Menus are printed and handwritten in chalk on the wall. From the looks of it, they're usually busy out back cooking so when you come in, tap the old school bell on the counter top and the gentleman comes out to serve you pretty quickly. There is an old dilapidated couch in the waiting area, reminiscent of one of those couches that you would crash on your friend's place while hanging out or after a night of booze. And also the quintessential picture/diagram of different fish hanging on the wall. Food was pretty darn good, although our bad for the long drive home and the chips becoming a bit soggy. Batter was seasoned well (along with the fish), was not overly battered, and the fish was cooked well and flaked when broken apart. Chips were also seasoned nicely, not dumped on with salt and you could taste the potatoes through it. Good place, wish it was a bit closer so I could call it my local!”

“Johnny's Steakhouse deserves it's 5 star rating from me as I have dined there many times and the food and service is consistent. The food quality always great and so when you take a friend there that you have recommended Johnny's to, you will not be disappointed. They won't let you down, especially Manoj ... The best thing about Fridays at Johhny's is that they are open from 11am making Steaks for lunchtime a perfect place to go. My friend Jim was so impressed he has placed a review after today making me realise I should too. I have posted photos from today and the same meals order over a couple of years showing the consistency of quality. Regards Eric”
