I ordered the chicken burger and the steak, and both were absolutely delicious. The chicken burger was fresh, filling, and beautifully put together β a crispy, flavourful chicken fillet in a soft bun with fresh lettuce, served with hot, perfectly cooked fries on the side. Simple, comforting, and very satisfying. The steak was cooked perfectly β tender, juicy, and full of flavour. It came with smooth, creamy mash, fresh vegetables, and a rich gravy that brought everything together so well. The portion size was generous, and the balance on the plate was spot on. Everything tasted fresh, well prepared, and thoughtfully cooked. A really enjoyable meal overall, and I would happily order both dishes again.

I ordered the chicken schnitzel and fried fish, and both were really well done. The schnitzel was perfectly golden and crispy, while still juicy on the inside, served with hot, crunchy fries, a fresh salad, and a creamy sauce that worked perfectly with the dish. The fried fish was light, crisp, and cooked just right β not oily at all β with a squeeze of lemon that brought out the flavour nicely. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Overall, a great meal and really solid quality. Iβd happily order both dishes again and would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The crispy fried calamari was a standout β perfectly golden, light, and tender on the inside, paired with a creamy dipping sauce that complemented it perfectly. The salt-and-pepper style seafood was equally impressive, well-seasoned with a great crunch and served with fresh lemon that lifted the flavours even more. The roasted potatoes were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right β a simple side done exceptionally well. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavour, served with smooth mashed potato, fresh vegetables, and a rich, well-balanced gravy that tied everything together beautifully. Portions were generous, presentation was excellent, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The overall quality of the food really stood out and made the meal feel special. Highly recommend β weβll definitely be back again.

We went to this steakhouse for our company Christmas dinner and left frustrated. The restaurant has clearly changed hands recently β the new owner spoke with one of our directors on arrival and explained they were still settling in. There were signs they were short-staffed and adjusting processes. The night actually started well: we ordered cocktails for the table and the potato skins as a starter β both were excellent and a real highlight. If you go, try those β they were top notch. Unfortunately, the rest of the evening was a comedy of errors. We ordered mains (steaks for everyone plus lamb shanks to share). Service slowed dramatically after the starters: one of the steaks was missed entirely at first, and after several follow-ups we were told it would be three minutes β it finally arrived about 45 minutes later, long after everyone else had finished. The lamb shanks were never correctly understood by staff; after repeated check-ins we gave up waiting and left without them. On top of that, when paying the bill staff repeatedly tried to charge us for two tables because our order had somehow been split. Given how the evening had gone, that felt unreasonable β the server didnβt take ownership of resolving the mistake, and there was no meaningful effort to make things right. I genuinely felt for the teamβ it was a stressful night for them β but better staffing, clearer processes, and stronger training and communication would have prevented most of the problems we experienced. The food (aside from missing items) was fine, and the cocktails and starters deserve praise, but the overall experience was undermined by poor execution. It might be a while, but hope to return at some point. Hopefully things run smoother then.

It's a nice venue, but I don't think they know how to cater to big groups. After ordering, food came out sporadically, although presenting well, many were only luke warm, two meals were completely forgotten. The Cake came out without crockery or cutlery until prompted by us. This is the second time we have dined here with a large group and it will be last I'm afraid.

I had an eye fillet with creamy mushroom sauce and mash potato. Also had seasonal vegetables for the side. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was perfect. My kid had a kids steak, and she loved it. The staff were very kind. I think this is one of the best restaurants in Auckland.

Loved the atmosphere, portion size is massive for someone like me with an average appetite. Service was good, I suppose visiting as a part of a big group is somewhat challenging for both parties. Oreo cheesecake was mind blowing and their in-house lager was interesting.

My experience at dining here swung from one extreme to the other in several areas. The staff were really attentive and happy to turn the music down a smidge so that us oldies (in our 50βs) could chat more easily, but bless, the poor waitress didnβt know that Chardonnay was a white wine, and tried to serve my brotherβs merlot to my sister-in-law. The plates for 3 of us were cleared away while one was still eating, which always just feels wrong, even if you want to give them credit for clearing the βdoneβ dishes. But no real complaints here. The salt & pepper calamari was probably the worst calamari dish Iβve eaten in my life. They say it is flash fried - well - the rings are sooooo thin, I think theyβd be overcooked even if you had them in the pan/fryer for 5 seconds. There was no flavour of the calamari, just the dried crunch and flavour of the burned βdustingβ. I was so disappointed and was now dreading my main. But what a contrast. The Roquefort fillet was perfection. It was amazing. My brothers both had the lamb shanks and apart from saying that the shanks were a little anaemic and could have done with some browning at the start, they were very happy. We will return - but definitely wonβt be ordering the calamari again.
