“Was just passing by and thought it looked tasty in the window so came back for dinner and wow ! It's been a long time since I've had a steak so good. I ordered the Pacific steak which is a filet mignon stuffed with crab and topped with prawns and béarnaise sauce and there wasn't a slither of fat on it, was cooked just right and I really enjoyed it. The decor is cute I was reading the menu about Tony's story being the og steakhouse of Auckland and he said it was English pub inspired, as a Brit who hasn't been home in 4 months I enjoyed that (speaking of it was so much cheaper than what we'd pay in England for a steak) I also found the staff really nice, didn't catch their names but they were nice and friendly”

“Fabulous food at Chinwags Restaurant & Bar in Clarks Beach, New Zealand. Absolutely delicious and the customer service was above and beyond. They were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Clarks Beach locals, you need to get behind these guys and support them or you will miss out on an amazing dining experience! If we lived here, (but we live in Geraldton WA) we'd eat there all the time! Thank you both for such wonderful service, food and the laughs.”

“We had such a beautiful meal here for two, restaurant is very authentic and service was great. The vegetarian lasagna was amazing and best I have had in Auckland also my husband had the meat lovers pizza which was very good! We finished off with the baklava for dessert which was lovely. I would definitely recommend.”

“This was our first time visiting, and it was such a treat. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the menu had a great selection to choose from. We really enjoyed the shared dishes, and the guidance on serving sizes. Everything we ordered was delicious. My faves were the prawn toast and crispy aubergine. We’ll definitely be back.”

“WOW, my 3rd visit to this establishment for celebrating birthdays and today a MOTHERS DAY high tea experience! This was outstanding, the wait staff really looked after our table despite the cheek I gave them all. The place settings and tea selection was first class, then came the delicious high tea style food plus hot savouries absolutely amazing and super delicious we managed to eat everything presented! After our feasting we all went for a stroll around the beautiful property, fantastic a wonderful place for wedding photo shoot! Oh and the venue of course. Thank you for the most enjoyable trouble free MOTHERS DAY celebration! No dishes or cleaning up required! “We came here for dinner on our first night in Auckland and it delivered! Niro and her team were gracious to seat us close to closing and quickly took our orders and served us. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to eat here as part of our honeymoon. The drinks were crisp and the food was incredible. I ordered the pepper steak and my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese per the staff’s recommendation, and neither of us could stop eating and cleaned our plates. Not to mention the privacy the booth seating provided and the joyous Christmas decor! Highly recommend stopping in if you have the chance.”

“Breakfast here is genuinely excellent. It’s at the top-end price-wise but the quality is superb and the portions generous. I had the ‘big’ breakfast (mixed grill I think it was called?) and my fellow diner had the caponata and raved about it. I wish I photographed them before we started…. The service was also excellent. “Ive been here a few times and each brings me back! I love a good Larb Salad, and theirs is very good!!! But the star today was the Chiang Mai noodles. OMG it was amazing. Khao Soi is the actual name for this particular curry, but it comes from northern Thailand, and reminded me of my visit to Chiang Mai, hence the name! I must have this again!!!! Im trying to add a photo, but so far cant....”

“First time visitor. We ventured over to Devonport for brunch. Made our choice to try Manuka. I had the rost with smoked salmon and small flat white. The rosti with salmon, poached egg was wonderful. Being from Wellington I sort of smiled when I was asked if I wanted my coffee with a double shot, this is a given in Wellington. Coffee was great. Service professional but friendly.”

“We ordered the Polo E Funghi which is a creamy chicken and mushroom fettuccine pasta, A half in half hot & spicy and the lot pizza, and 2 desserts; the lava cake and the apple crumble. All there food was delicious and we will be coming again.”

“The loveliest experience. Very nice staff and the food is delicious. $7 happy hour (5-7.30pm) beers and $12 cocktails too! I think it may be newer owners as the food is Indian and Pizza now which seems different to earlier reviews. They were also more than happy to make us a vegan meal. A must do if coming to Spark Arena. Well definitely be back”

“Just yumm! Their special butter chicken with garlic nan is a must try. One portion rice is complimentary. The lady that manage the restaurant is a rockstar! I visited on last night of my Auckland trip and cursed myself for not discovering this before. Quantity and taste was better than most restaurants here in India. Kudos!”

“What a great experience, really good quality, fresh, tasty food. I couldn’t fault anything, recommendations from the waitress were perfect. I would never have normally ordered Nacho’s,l but she recommended, they were so good and different to the normal ‘kiwi’ version. Everything (we got a lot of different food) was easily able to be shared by 4 or could have ordered our own if wanted to. Overall was $60 each, for lots of meals (with food left over) and 2 or 3 drinks each. It was easily good value for money. Atmosphere is good also, we had a booked table waiting but otherwise was packed. I’d recommend booking as was consistently popular throughout the time we were there.”

“The food was authentic and delicious. Being raised in a border town in Arizona gives me a bit of an edge when seeking out great Mexican food. I was on a business trip and stumbled on this gem. “Lovely spacious restaurant in the heart of Botany Town Centre. The food was delicious, the mussels in white wine and garlic cream was so good. The pork belly was tender and the crackling cooked to perfection and the potato bake complimented the whole dish. The longhorn cheesecake was yummy with subtle flavors of kaluha and moro bar, very nice. A really enjoyable evening made even better by the polite and attentive staff. We would gladly dine here again.”
