“I was craving for Thali and this restaurant popped up on google. $18+ for 2 curry thali as per photo with veg and non veg. Great food for its price would come back again. Would appreciate if it was an Indian Sweet as per description, got given a vanilla ice cream for dessert and much better if it was an Indian Sweet like Gulab Jamun. Chana Masala needs more working”

“The two indian brothers that run this place are very attentive and professional, and service is top-notch. I've been a few times and rate it as one of the best Indian cuisine (& Thai fusion mix) curry houses on the north shore. Food is outstanding, has a very tasty and subtle blend of spice and melt-in-your mouth meat and crisp veg, and is now our favorite place to relax and have a kingfisher on tap. There is also another place upstairs, above them thats always quite busy, which I don't rate at all. Right next to the sea, good for a walk off them superb and delicious calories afterward.”

“We came to Devonport for a day trip and had a late lunch at Devonport Indian Hub. The staff greeted us warmly and even entertained our kids with snacks and balloons, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was absolutely delicious — we ordered the deal of 4 dishes for only $75, and it was great value as wecwere 4 adults with 2 kids. Their customer service is outstanding, and the team is very friendly. They even let our kids play around, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We loved the people here and highly recommend this place!”

“Was visiting the area and ended up trying this restaurant for lunch. Was an excellent choice with amazing food and great service. The goat curry and chicken dum biryani was really good. The Desi style butter chicken quite good too as it wasn't sweet at all. Would definitely like to revisit and try other items on the menu.”

“Came to Khana after being recommended by a local. I'll definitely be recommending it to others! My mother and I each got the $20 Thali meal. Incredible value for money, the flavours were great and presentation beautiful. Ended it off with the Mango ice cream which was perfect - fruity but not too sweet. You couldn't fault the service. Friendly, professional and educated on Indian cuisine. The atmosphere and environment was vibrant but chill. Lovely acoustic music playing - not too loud which can happen a lot at restaurants. Overall, would come here again in a heartbeat!”

“Phenomenal meal at The Chefs Indian Restaurant last night. This is a true “hidden gem”, tucked away in Howick where you wouldn’t expect it. The food was very high quality - delicious entrees, mains and breads. The staff were friendly and kind and generous. The cost was very fair and great value for money. Vege curries were $17.90 and breads were $5-$6. Highly recommend!”

“One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”

“I had an amazing experience dining at Sidart with my partner. The waiter and waitress were attentive and the food was served at a very good pace - not left too long between the courses. The food itself was absolutely delicious, one of my favourite out of all the degustation meals I’ve had. The flavour combination was unique and finely balanced, and the amount of food did not left me too hungry or too full by the end of the night. Would highly recommend this restaurant to others and will be sure to come back soon :)”

“The chicken lollipops were fried to perfection and seasoned very well. They give you a few dipping sauces that bring even more flavor to the plate. Lamby madras was very flavorful and you can ask for the spice level to be to your liking. Nice and clean inside but small oven so if you’re ordering a lot of food or if it’s very busy you’ll be keen to have a beer while you wait.”
