“Love this place more than i love myself”
“We noticed that the old groomers had gone and there was a new grooming and day care business set up (Pet House), so we decided to give it another go. We are SO glad we did!! The staff were absolutely lovely, super friendly and our dogs felt instantly at ease. Their grooms were great and they even managed to get their teeth cleaned and nails trimmed without issue! Plus they have some really cool dog clothes, and we love that the dogs can run around afterwards and aren’t kept in cages. We’ve booked them in for regular grooms through till Christmas!”
“Stopped in for lunch while getting a car serviced. The guy working stated they'd just opened so the wait time was longer but I wasn't in a rush, so not an issue for me. Service was friendly, food was served fresh and hot. Good lunch spot!”
“After an initial rocky start with noisy neighbours, the hotel reception shifted me to a different floor. The old room and the new room were identical. Both of them were great and quite clean maybe 9/10. The bed was comfortable, also clean and medium firmness, which I liked. Shower pressure in both rooms were good. Generally, I think this is a good place to stay if you need to be on Auckland's North Shore. Interactions with reception and housekeeping were always pleasant. There were very, very minor issues like the kettle flap was broken, the dryer ran extremely loudly. I was a little embarrassed to use the dryer at night due to the noise. The towels were thin and could be thicker.”
“Loved staying here, the people and atmosphere were really nice there. It had a rustic style that gave it a proper hostel vibe unlike some others around Auckland. Place was clean and staff were super friendly. The area is not the best but I never had any issues walking the street at night. The only issue I had was the dryer costs $6 and it didn't dry my stuff, I had to use it twice to get my stuff dry. Apart from that I'd recommend this to anyone.”
“Jana was incredible to deal with! She helped us through a really emotional time when our kitten wasn’t feeling well, and we could tell she truly cared. She took amazing care of both our little one and us.”
“We often stay at city of sails as it is close to our children's house, but it is also a lovely motel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are nicely decorated and clean.”
“My favourite place to stay when going to Auckland. Great management, nice and clean, very helpful ( when I rocked in with my trailer, the hotel manager Gotham was so accommodating). Plenty of good eateries at walking distance . See you again soon”
“Highly recommend staying at this immaculate property. Perfect location for Rainbows End, only $10 in an Uber. Warm, welcoming place, luxurious carpet underfoot and everything is so well done. Unlimited tea, coffee, milk. Beautiful place, restful stay.”
“Top service from start to finish. We stay here every time in Auckland and are always met with excellent customer service, friendly helpful staff and clean rooms with all you could need. We left an item here recently and the staff were extremely helpful in finding it and getting it back to us. Highly recommend!”
“Stunning little lodge near Auckland, and convenient for the airport.”
“Staying here tonight. Place is amazing so far. Especially for the price. Were very accommodating, switching us to a ground floor room to make it easier with a toddler. Room is clean and large and dinner from the restaurant was delivered to our door and was delicious. Wish we'd booked for another night!”
“A first time visit. I couldn't find two or three items. One of the staff went with me, took the items from the shelves and into my trolley. Asked if I needed something else. I had done my shopping, so thanked him. I liked the place so much, I bought a few extras.”
“Pak’nSave Silverdale is a well-sized, tidy store that serves the wider Hibiscus Coast area and does a solid job of it. It’s not flashy or overly modern, but it’s practical and clean, with that familiar warehouse-style layout that Pak’nSave is known for. If you’re after low prices without the bells and whistles, it ticks the right boxes. The store is spacious and easy to navigate, even during busier times. Aisles are wide, shelves are usually well-stocked, and signage is clear enough to help you find what you need without wandering too much. The overall vibe is no-frills, but things generally run smoothly and efficiently. Prices are sharp across the board — groceries, meat, produce, and household items all come in at the lower end, especially if you keep an eye out for specials. The fruit and veg section can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day you visit, but most of the time it’s decent. The meat section usually has a good range at affordable prices, and the bakery offers the basics like bread, rolls, and a few sweet treats. Staff are usually around if you need help, but it’s a typical Pak’nSave setup — more of a DIY experience. Most people are just in and out, focused on the shop, so don’t expect high-touch service. That said, checkout lines move fairly quickly and self-service options help if you’re only picking up a few things. The carpark is decent with a fair amount of space, though it can get full during peak shopping times, especially weekends. The location is handy too, close to other shops in the area, so it’s easy to tick off errands in one go. As with other Pak’nSaves, the online listings don’t always match what’s in-store, so it’s best to go in with a flexible list rather than expecting everything to be there. Overall, Pak’nSave Silverdale is a dependable local spot. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, roomy, and delivers on what really matters — saving money. If you’re in the area and want to stock up without spending too much, it’s worth the stop.”
“Same day service from request for a prescription from doc's to ready to pick up! Staff are super friendly and ready for any questions ... well done!”
“Great service by an always smiling and friendly team.”
“The BEST pharmacy - it's a real one where the staff know what they are talking about. Definitely not a warehouse where any advice is hard to come-by.”
“Better than staying in Auckland, ferry $12 return. Very well placed, near the shops, restaurants and ferry, all in walking distance. Just the two rooms, parking available, comfortable and quiet, run by Prue and family who were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.”
“A great cabin delivered by a professional team, great communication, a pleasure to deal with.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Victoria and Kiran at Epsom Kiwi Chemist are an incredible duo who consistently provide exceptional service. Victoria's knowledge and professionalism shine through in every interaction, while Kiran's friendly demeanor and efficiency make every visit a breeze. I highly recommend Epsom Kiwi Chemist for their outstanding team!”
“Best pharmacy & Amazing customer service. Walked in for a booster shot and didn’t had to wait at all. Unfortunately didn’t get the guys name but he definitely did an amazing job as I didn’t even feel any pain. Efficient, friendly and very welcoming place. Highly recommend.”
“Very helpful friendly team, precriptions are always ready to be picked up when we need them. Thankful we have a professional chemist in our community to support us.”
“Excellent accommodation in the centre of Howick. I had a 2 night stay. The staff were warm and helpful. Great communication and they accommodated my late check in too. The shared bathroom was spotless and I had everything I needed. The room was also warm modern and well equipped. I couldn't ask for more. This will be my go to place if staying in Auckland again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”
“Excellent customer service and fast prescription today took 10 mins for two items at 11am offpeak on Monday 28/11/22. You have a new customer in me. I'm coming to you from now on. It always takes Chemist Warehouse Westgate & Manukau Ronwood 30 minutes to do my prescription even in offpeak times. Thank you ladies for helping me today with my prescription and posting my Christmas card to family in America. Keep up the great work!!! You are all appreciated. Cheers Verdun & Fiona Beth.”
“I have been going to Commodore Pharmacy for 18 months after moving to Auckland. I want to do a big shout out to Sharron and her team! They always greet me with a smile and a 'Hi how are you?' they have always looked after me and guided me with products in store. Just recently Sharron has kindly donated a gift for a fundraiser I am supporting. Thanks Ladies you do an awesome job!”
