   I was there on Saturday with 2 elderly friends for the Elvis Presley night in Elsies Bar. Wow what an Awesome night, 3 hours of entertainment. The staff and other patrons were very friendly and accommodating. The Owners are fantastic People. We had a meal in Elsies Bar before the Show. We did not stay in a room, I gave 5 stars for 'Rooms' because the toilets were immaculate. Service and Food Great. Thank You

   What a real welcoming venue that has so much to offer at a very affordable price. Reception check in was completed with ease with a real focus on customer service and satisfaction with a real draw to want to stay again in the future. Real professional experience that I will / Have shared with work colleges and our local customers in the region lol which two informed me they are regulars already at this establishment which speaks for it self. Thank you for the fabulous experience... A++

   Staying here tonight. Place is amazing so far. Especially for the price. Were very accommodating, switching us to a ground floor room to make it easier with a toddler. Room is clean and large and dinner from the restaurant was delivered to our door and was delicious. Wish we'd booked for another night!

   Great place for a few drinks with mates and even more fun on a karaoke night!!! Bar staff weren't the most sociable either at the bar or when bringing snacks out, but service was fair. Different areas for different settings, so can have a meal, a few drinks or watch the game over a jug or two. Nice atmosphere!

   We really enjoyed staying at the Tuakau Hotel. Wished our stay had been longer to enjoy the restaurant and bar facilities. Staff were really lovely and accommodating. Would definitely stay again should the occasion arise.

   Pretty awful experience. Booked and prepaid via Expedia. Flew from Canada and when I landed, the reception had left a message to check in at the bar and give them $100 cash because they were leaving (at 5pm local time) which seemed strange but we proceeded to the hotel. When we arrived, the reception and bar were closed, no one answered the phones including the emergency phone number, no one was there to check us in or had accommodated our arrival in anyway. We had to decide whether to sleep in the car or pay for another hotel…

   The Tuakau Hotel is an old establishment that has been updated very nicely. The rooms are very nice although some are small they are still very well appointed. I liked it & will definitely make a return. Truck & trailer parking is hard to find at certain times.
