“I came across Central Health Clinic from Grabone, was at the time trying to find a place to fix my back injury which happened over a year ago. I had seen quite many clinics, you name it in town, but never was able to get my back totally fixed - the remaining 20% was just so hard to get it away and I lost confidence from time to time. This clinic - it is definitely not the best appealing place, I agree with some of the reviewers. But this is not what I went to this clinic for. The clinician - David is not a talkative person, but very professional The treatments - I found my back starting to become better after 3 -4 sessions, which I have not experienced before. The session - it is about a couple of needles, bone adjustments and clinical massage. But you will be surprised how much these treatments can help your body, a typical 40-50minute session is well enough. Like all other treatments, things are not going to get better until a treatment period, typically 5-10 sessions. This clinic is not about selling massage service as some are after, it is a clinic good at treating body pains, injuries or other health issues. I have no hesitation to recommend it to you if you are after a genuine traditional Chinese clinic to help you improve your health condition. Many thanks to David and all the best to everyone!”

In spite of exceptionally difficult and frustrating times for all GP's in a fast-expanding Papamoa with an acute GP shortage, we have always been looked after by friendly, helpful reception and nursing staff who do their very best to get us sorted. Dr Natasha Roberton (and before her Dr Liam Tranter) somehow still makes time to listen kindly to her patients and focus on what is important/necessary for them, leading to positive outcomes. A big thank you. Highly recommended!”

“Overall, we had a very positive experience with them. We appreciate the professional service we received at Birthcare, and we absolutely love Kate and Lazzie, who demonstrate genuine care and profound commitment to the child, the mother, and the whānau. It was a very touching experience to see how they hold and talk about our baby, and how they model breastfeeding and baby-care techniques. We had to stay there for four days, and we experienced thorough and thoughtful care from at least seven staff members. All of them are professional and, in general, know what's best for our child. At first, it might feel like you experience inconsistent care and standards (which might be slightly true); however, the brighter side of this is that we learned so much from different staff members, as they all have their (unique) strengths. We also need to be aware that many of the staff members come from a different cultural background, and English may not be their native language, so it may take a while for you to fully understand them. For a minute, I even thought a few of them were quite condescending, but when you take their advice with an open heart and active listening skills, you might soon realise it is just how passionate they are about their job and how much they want to share what's best for you, even if you might not like the way they told you at first. Plus, the food is nice. A small surprise was that there was one time a student midwife (a quite capable one) came and performed a check-in and standard procedure. But she was not under any supervision during that time. Neither did she introduce herself as a student midwife until I found out. Highly recommend this place, especially if you are a first-time parent. We definitely learned so much!! Thank you, thank you, and very best from the bottom of our hearts.”

“Free prescription which is what everyone likes. There is usually a decent line and quite busy during peak hours. Its a good idea to phone in and ask for them to get your prescription ready. The store itself has a decent range of products for your pharmaceutical needs.”

“For over a.year my mokopuna used the heavy steroids and antibiotics her GP gave her even though you never saw much improvement. I waited 3 hours and started the treatment, we trusted the prescribed medication and we trusted babys doctor. We immediately saw improvements and within 1 week she was finally free from suffering for over 1 year. I would have waited 6 hours to see my moko and her skin cleared. Now we just have to keep up our plan. Stop complaining about the wait, especially since most have suffered every moment of everyday for years. If you dont like waiting go somewhere else, if you are looking for help for you or your childs eczema then for us it was certainly worth the wait. Take a book and something to eat and drink because it will be a long worthy wait.”

“The telephone here could be tricky to reach, but rest assured—they always return calls if you leave a voicemail. We’ve visited this clinic several times and seen three to four different dentists, all of whom are incredibly gentle and patient with children. Highly recommend this place, especially Katherine! She’s young, cheerful, and has such a playful approach that it feels like a game for the kids while she completes their dental treatment.”
