Very disappointed. Needed more sessions but they just werent interested so I've have no one to talk to. Have gone back to full depression mode.
Petersgate has provided me a wonderful safe space for my sessions. My therapist is a great fit for me and I feel very supported and fulfilled, I definitely would recommend Petersgate counselling to those looking for somewhere affordable and professional. They have a different range of therapists to meet your individual needs and it's a well rounded supportive environment, I am grateful for the care I recieve.
Couldn't have asked for a better counselor to help me through my years of mental health struggles. Lovely group of ladies at the reception desk too. Always welcomed with a smile.
Counselor talked more than I did and pushed medication on me after I said no to it. Also suggested joining a church despite my beliefs. I'd suggest paying a little more for real help elsewhere.
NEGATIVE 5 STARS I remember being rejected by a counselor from Petersgate for presenting too well and being too resilient thus she (counselor) wasn't sure how she could assist me. I had finally given into my social worker who had been hounding me to talk to someone at age 16 (9 years ago) only to be told THAT after bearing my heart and soul. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE IF THEY WERE THE LAST RESORT AND YOU WERE ON S.WATCH Through ACC, I now work alongside a wonderful psychologist with whom I've built rapport and a relationship. Petersgate, diversify your staff and thinking.
Never have I had a councillor have an aggressive tone with me or make me feel unsafe. Completely un professional. I would not recommend or be coming back.
This counseling center is very good and much cheaper compared to other counseling services I've been too before. My counselor here is very kind and is the counselor I have stayed with for nearly a year now. I've been searching for a relatable and kind counselor for a couple years and found them here! I would recommend this place!
