We stayed in a 1 bed apartment room which was spacious and comfortable with a small two ring hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Good for a short to medium stay if you don't want to always eat out. The art all around the inside is fun, but outside the building is not much to look at despite the shark murals and giant Hippo statue. Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. Standard fair. Also it is quit costly. On our second and third morning's we had breakfast at the Zephyr cafe near by which was much more interesting. The location is excellent though, with easy access to museums, galleries and other places to eat.
Rooms were comfortable and tidy . The staff were approachable, professional polite, and attentive. The restaurant meals were excellent delicious. Amazing artisan arts in the area with the best tourists attractions Definitely recommend for friends and see you again
Fantastic location, artwork in the lobby area is very cool, but as others have said the hotel is otherwise tired and in need of a refurb, I noticed our room smelled of fresh paint when we arrived but didn't see any difference it would have made. Due to the location road noise can be an issue in the early mornings, but I had read about this in other reviews and packed ear plugs. Lots of scuffs and damage to the room, a pointless "sofa" that only one person can sit comfortably on and there was a part missing on the drier so it leaked water everywhere. It was still comfortable enough and the location made up for the tired vibe.
We had a nice stay in wellington. Good service, our room smelt of cigarettes however we got past that with spray, bed was super comfortable. The spa and pool was cool, Overall really cool qwerky place. Great location. Only recommendation would be more milk and sugar in the room and a menu book to view both restaurants menus
Not the most inexpensive hotel, but very good location for Wellington City, Te Papa, and the conference centre. The front desk staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are modern and spacious, while others are smaller and some are a bit dark. Very comfortable beds and good warm showers.
Easily the best hotel I have stayed in the past 12 months if not three or four years
