   We had a lovely night at the hotel. Wonderful position by the lake and perfect views. The restaurant food was excellent. Rooms are simple and comfortable, shared bathrooms. Sunset spectacular. We were disappointed with the included breakfast, just cereal, no bread. And couldn't buy a coffee in the morning. Otherwise a great trip.

   I only had a meal here as part of a group tour. I did not stay at the hotel. The food was fantastic. I got the grilled fish salad. Though it's just grilled white fish, it tasted fresh and well prepared. The apple cider drink was also good.

   Some of the best fish and chips have ever had, tourists from Australia. None of us are battered fish people but your batter is so light and crispy. Yes we could have eaten more but did we really need it?!

   Coffee is A++ and I’m a coffee snob, was nice to finish a good coffee. I had chicken wings, while they’re were a tad oily they were still tasty and a decent serving! Had a chips on the side and that was also a decent serving and were very tasty, bonus points for not having dry wings. Partner had the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. Overall a really nice experience, the lady who served us was super polite and had fab hospo skills - very welcoming. Fire was also on so we were toasty warm. We will back back in the summer ☀️

   We had Lake Ferry Hotel recommended to us by the bookshop in Featherston. We were very pleased we went there for lunch Memory on the bar was great and the fish n chips in a basket was delicious. Will definitely be back.

   Stumbled upon here on our first day trip to visit Cape Palliser, as recommended by the lady at the Piriroa (?) General Store for us to get a coffee at. although at first we thought the view wasn't so special after spending a little time we fell in love with the place and had great chats with the regulars and the owner. the view was amazing, you can see the Kaikoura coast and mountains from there it's unbelievable, like being on Mars. took a chance to order some fish n chips and they were AMAZING. couldn't believe it. such a satisfying day before we went out to enjoy the views of the Cape. lovely!!! enjoy your trip to Vanuatu sir

   Came here for their famous Fish N Chips and wasn't disappointed. Also ordered the Paua Fritters, Seafood Chowder and Buffalo Wings. All was very scrumptious and hearty. But I think the restaurant service could do with a bit more warmth though.

   Wonderful Service and Delicious Burgers though they were about $26 a pop so you would want them to be. Limited menu selection its really burgers or fish and chips.
