We were very well taken care of and really enjoyed our stay. The property is very well maintained, and our room was clean and bright. The location is good, and provides great views, although it is a bit of a climb up from the Harbourfront area.

I like Pullman hotels and I was looking forward to staying here on a recent business trip. The reception is spacious with very attentive and friendly staff. A very nice welcome. However the rooms and public spaces are very tiered and in need of an update. I found the rooms dark and tired and didn't really want to stay in their for too long! The breakfast was nothing special. The dining room felt small and cramped. The location is excellent, just a short walk down the hill to Queen Street. A nice stay, excellent staff, great location, but the rooms and facilities could do with an update.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman Auckland. Every staff member was warm, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Our one-bedroom apartment was beautiful, well-equipped and the balcony view was gorgeous. The standout was the surprise birthday treats left for my husband — such a thoughtful touch that made the celebration feel extra special. The only downside was the room running quite warm overnight even with the air-con set to its coolest; otherwise everything was exceptional. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.

I stayed at the Pullman expecting the familiar sense of luxury and attention to detail the brand usually delivers. Instead, it was well below expectations. The room felt as if it had been sealed in the 1990s, dimly lit, heavy with tired furniture, and stripped of any warmth or sophistication. Even rest was a struggle, with a ventilation system loud enough to disturb the night. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, making it difficult to use and almost impossible to rinse out shampoo or conditioner properly. Something so basic should not be a challenge in a hotel of this standard. The real concern, though, was housekeeping. The black counter by the coffee setup was unclean on arrival, covered in dust, dried stains, and clear cup rings from past guests. It was a small surface, but one that should never have been missed. For a hotel claiming five stars, that kind of neglect is simply unacceptable. To add to the disappointment, no drinking water was provided in the room, which is totally unacceptable for a hotel of this category. The location may work, and some amenities may still hold up, but the dated feel, poor maintenance, and lack of basic cleanliness overshadow everything else. At this price point, the Pullman needs both a serious refresh and a rethink of its standards to live up to its own name.

I really liked this hotel. All the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Always welcoming you with a big smile. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic. I had a very good rest. The bathroom is great, too. Overall, I had a fantastic and very quiet stay at the hotel.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a one-night stay at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist us, adding a warm touch to our stay. The breakfast was delightful, and we especially relished the sauna and spa pool facilities. However, the room's interior felt a bit dated. The door had a tendency to slam shut, and the walls seemed a tad thin, affecting the overall tranquility. Considering it's a 5-star establishment, we anticipated a bit more in terms of room quality. Despite these minor setbacks, our stay was enjoyable, and we left with fond memories of our time here.

Went to attend a conference. The hotel is prominently located at the Waterloo quadrant and easily accessible on foot, by car or public transport (buses). Paid and free parking ( neat Albert Park) is available. Wifi offered seamless connectivity. The hotel had a good ambience and was well managed. However, I felt the service a notch lower than my expectations of being in Pullman properties. One of the coffee machines wasn't fully functional and it took time for used cutlery and crockery to be cleared.

We went to the restaurant, Tapestry. The food was very tasty & the staff were attentive. The atmosphere was great too & it was well patronised for an upmarket establishment. I would say though, that there was a disparity in the serving sizes. While my friend had the lamb rump & it was a good size, I had the similarly priced pork belly & it was much smaller. I would still have been hungry, except that there was too much lamb for my friend.

I expected more, the hotel was good but there were those details. Like the room doors that didn't always close and you always had to make sure they are closed when leaving and entering. The AC worked well for heating, but was also quite noisy. The elevator control was strange, you always needed both hands and several trials, it only accepted the selected floor when the card was presented at the same time, the selection sometimes disappeared after some seconds. Then there were loose rails and much more.

After a rocky start it was quite a nice stay. We had booked a wheelchair friendly room when we arrived reception told us they had none available. We definitely needed a wheelchair friendly room so eventually the receptionist went to see her manager and they said if we could wait an hour or two they could make a room available. So we went and had lunch and a suitable room became available. We had very nice dinner with our guests so all turned out well. Next morning breakfast was the normal Hotel style buffet quite a good choice what food. All in all a pleasant stay.
