Went downstairs for a drink. No friendly banter or smiles from staff. No atmosphere or ambience. Paid through the nose for resident accomodation because normal room standards have slipped so badly. Yes the rooms were better but this is a 5 star hotel. We have been coming here regularly for 15 years and we just don’t feel the warm welcome and the “thanks for coming back” attitude. Below are pics of a $50 room service meal. $29 for pizza and $17 for kids McDonald’s n cheese. So disappointed. In fact we have never had a decent quality affordable room service ever. Same price as restaurant prices downstairs.

I like Pullman hotels and I was looking forward to staying here on a recent business trip. The reception is spacious with very attentive and friendly staff. A very nice welcome. However the rooms and public spaces are very tiered and in need of an update. I found the rooms dark and tired and didn't really want to stay in their for too long! The breakfast was nothing special. The dining room felt small and cramped. The location is excellent, just a short walk down the hill to Queen Street. A nice stay, excellent staff, great location, but the rooms and facilities could do with an update.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman Auckland. Every staff member was warm, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Our one-bedroom apartment was beautiful, well-equipped and the balcony view was gorgeous. The standout was the surprise birthday treats left for my husband — such a thoughtful touch that made the celebration feel extra special. The only downside was the room running quite warm overnight even with the air-con set to its coolest; otherwise everything was exceptional. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.

I stayed at the Pullman expecting the familiar sense of luxury and attention to detail the brand usually delivers. Instead, it was well below expectations. The room felt as if it had been sealed in the 1990s, dimly lit, heavy with tired furniture, and stripped of any warmth or sophistication. Even rest was a struggle, with a ventilation system loud enough to disturb the night. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, making it difficult to use and almost impossible to rinse out shampoo or conditioner properly. Something so basic should not be a challenge in a hotel of this standard. The real concern, though, was housekeeping. The black counter by the coffee setup was unclean on arrival, covered in dust, dried stains, and clear cup rings from past guests. It was a small surface, but one that should never have been missed. For a hotel claiming five stars, that kind of neglect is simply unacceptable. To add to the disappointment, no drinking water was provided in the room, which is totally unacceptable for a hotel of this category. The location may work, and some amenities may still hold up, but the dated feel, poor maintenance, and lack of basic cleanliness overshadow everything else. At this price point, the Pullman needs both a serious refresh and a rethink of its standards to live up to its own name.

I really liked this hotel. All the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Always welcoming you with a big smile. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic. I had a very good rest. The bathroom is great, too. Overall, I had a fantastic and very quiet stay at the hotel.

fabulous City&Harbor View 2 Bedroom apartment We have booked this apartment Fabulous City&Harbor View2 Bedroom Apartment for several months The day before our arrival and an hour before flying to Auckland, the owner informs us that the accommodation we have booked is not habitable for technical reasons . This information is obviously absolutely not verifiable. In the timing of transport, it was not possible to find another equivalent solution. The owner then directs us to another of her apartments located in the center of Auckland, informing us that this apartment is an upgrade, it is not our opinion, The surface is barely equivalent. The apartment is not equipped with air conditioning. In addition, we had booked a sea view apartment and we end up with a city view apartment. The Owner did not agree to a commercial discount, she just offered to cancel or shorten our stay with a free cancellation. At the last moment the offer in Auckland is reduced and we could not find an equivalent reservation, moreover the transfer would have taken half a day and incurred additional costs. You will understand that we are very unhappy with this situation, which forced us to accept this exchange. With this notice we warn future customers of Fabulous City&Harbor View2 Bedroom Apartment that you may find yourself in the same situation. You would think if it was bad time, that there is a loss leader and behind a scam. But of course there is still room for doubt. Pending no commercial discount and no reaction from Booking customer service who was contacted and who did not deign to answer.
