I stayed in a Deluxe Twin room and overall had a mixed experience. The staff were friendly and the room itself was spacious with a good layout. However, most of the twin rooms appear to face Fanshawe Street, which is a very busy main road with a direct view of the Fanshawe Street car park. I found it noisy (even on the fourth floor) and was woken by trucks and traffic. I was told there are some twin rooms on the third floor facing Customs Street West, which may be quieter, but none were available. The room doors slam shut loudly. Noise from people in the room next door and from people in the corridors was also disruptive. There is no complimentary bottled water (presumably for sustainability reasons). Instead, you can purchase a QT-branded water bottle for $25 and fill it at a water station in the corridor, or bring your own. Small improvements could be made, such as placing a rubbish bin near the tea/coffee station. I needed a replacement jug due to it leaking. Lighting in the bathroom is very dim, and I imagine it would be difficult to apply makeup there. Despite requesting housekeeping, I had to phone to have pillowcases changed as they clearly hadn’t been refreshed regularly. The staff serving breakfast were great, especially the lady who appeared to be in charge. I was accommodated with a late check out of midday which was appreciated. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are booking a twin room or for an extended stay.

I had a wonderful experience with the staff and the room I was in. I arrived at 5 AM and I had some complications with my reservation. The Front Desk was very accommodating and helped me out. Specifically Alex Duong and Vishavjeet. They made sure to explain to me my options and then give me the best offer. I will definitely be returning to QT Auckland in the future. The room was ready and wonderful! Thank you for making my trip memorable.

Would highly recommend this QT Auckland. Checked in for a weekend stay. Landed in Auckland Friday morning from Australia and I knew I was early but I was greeted by the amazing Matilda at the front desk. She was more than happy to look after my bags (gave great coffee recommendations) while I went and killed some time until my room was ready. The bar area/ foyer area was clean and well presented and the team serving were more than happy to help. The room was lovely. Plenty of space and the bed was so comfy. Loved the feel of it all. The shower had plenty of space and there was even black out curtains to help with the jetlag naps. Night one. I went up to the rooftop and was greeted on entry. Although I had no booking I was promptly sat. Ordered this tasty cocktail and the lamb skewer. (So good went back the second night and ordered both again) Location was great. 13min walk to Skycity or 5min uber. 7min walk along the water to the Vaiduct and Auckland CBD.

What a great hotel! Super-friendly staff, great art, and ambience. Wonderful service all around. Our rooms were promptly made up each day, and the high-quality Γ  la carte breakfast menu provided a refreshing break from the usual hotel breakfast buffet. Great cocktails and wines, and a pumping rooftop bar! Wonderful location with easy walking access to most main attractions, or if you are able, the scooters are a fun option to get around town too!

My partner and I stayed here on Saturday night and I have to say, after being really keen to stay here, I was really underwhelmed. Before check in across the time space of 5hrs I phoned 4 times to ask about valet parking, the calls didn't even ring. There was an automated message saying no one was available. One time, the automated message just said goodbye and hung up! We got there and went to check in and I found the desk team really rude and unwelcoming. The one that checked us in especially made us feel very unwelcome. Up in the room, while styled the rooms have a very cold and industrial feel. The lighting was very poor, I found it really hard to put my make up on. The ceiling was concrete and the decor was very dark. There was literally no view and the window was almost completely obstructed by the arch above the doorway to the hotel so there was next to no natural light either. The top floor here is 5 so it's not a very tall hotel and the surrounding buildings are very tall thus I imagine the view from most rooms wouldn't be the best. At check out, (about 9.30am) which I assume is a busy time, they only had 1 staff member on reception and the line to check out was long and slow. All in all, very unimpressed by this hotel. Looks stylish on the surface but the lack of customer service and the cold industrial feel of it really let the place down. We will not being staying here again and will head back to our usual hotel - The Voco as the service, rooms and amenities there are much superior for a hotel in the same price range.

Great room, and view of the city. Found the bed a little soft otherwise, it was a lovely space. Loved the quality toiletry products - Kevin Murphy; and the bar/ refreshment section again; quality liquor. The manager we dealt with was incredibly helpful, a skilled and experienced professional in the industry.. and the only person who could drive/ park our manual car (he was rewarded as it is a V8 supercar with relentless glorious pipes; which he was rapt to get behind the wheel of, & has a fond appreciation for)! This manager helped to make our stay all the more enjoyable. He had a few friendly and helpful/ efficient staff however, I thought two could've been more on the same page regarding our booking (one would think, information of each guest is easily accessible, have all necessary information required - to check in/ check out guests smoothly and efficiently...). That aside, we'll go back again!

My husband and I really enjoyed our two nights stay at QT Auckland. Great central location! We were able to discover a lot of Auckland city from this location. Loved the modern, quirky dΓ©cor. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The executive room was spacious and we were fortunate to have the balcony to enjoy the sun and views. The room and the common areas were very clean and well presented. The room had enough switches and charging points and I was impressed to see affiliation with Six for good who provide quality products and contribute to children's charity. The room service was excellent! We enjoyed the food and the views from the rooftop bar and also enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners at the exceptional Esther restaurant. Highly recommend!

Loved my stay at QT Auckland. The room was great and very comfortable. Loved the amenities and also the shelf of wine available for purchase was cool. The design of the hotel is very cool, and Esther was a great spot for pre-dinner drinks.

QT Auckland is quite boutique with only about 150 rooms. They are all well appointed and suitable for business and leisure. I wouldn't recommend the lead in room category for business travel as there is no desk. The rooftop bar is really cool and the food very good. Recommend the 4 Pillars Shiraz gin and tonic. Staff is very attentive. The only reason for my 4 stars for the rooms is that the decor is a bit dark for my liking.
