Overall a really wonderful stay! The good things - Helpful and wonderful service from friendly staff - Gorgeous spacious room with bathtub - Impeccably clean - Soft comfy bed - Blackout curtains - The hallways smell delightfully fresh - Ambient music in lobby, restaurant and by lifts set a nice mood - Buffet breakfast was great value for money on a special deal for $29 NZD - Late checkout and looking after my bags until my train departure was no problem and collection was smooth Where thereβs room for improvement - Maximum heating temperature in the room was 23 degrees - way too cold, especially for windy Wellington! I needed to be under the duvet or in the bathtub in order to be warm enough - As a coeliac, I wish there had been more gluten free options at the breakfast buffet, and the gluten free bread provided was not one of the good ones, it was small and flimsy

My family and I just spent 3 nights here and had a lovely stay. The rooms are excellent and the staff at the dinning room are very thoughtful and caring. A special thanks to Inder who helped my wife and I set up dinning for two young children every morning. I would definitely stay here again.

A nicely styled hotel. The dining room is elegant with a nice menu and pretty good wine list. I didnβt expect an early check in but it was facilitated and that was appreciated. Super nice bathroom and shower.

This is a pretty standard Hilton. Its conveniently located right in the city, with easy walks to most tourist attractions. The DoubleTree itself is showing its age and is a bit run down. It needs a refresh. The room was comfortable but dark and you could not move the thick net curtains. It has all the usual facilities for tea/coffee and a nice bathroom. There is paid parking in the garage next door, which has a door into the hotel lobby. The restaurant was OK and the breakfast was good, but was not open as early as I would have liked. There are very basic facilities like a gym. I default to Hilton hotels, being a club member, but I could probably have found something better value for money if I looked harder.

I stayed at Hilton Wellington from 6th to 7th October for a short trip, in room 204 King Deluxe City view and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The hotelβs elegant atmosphere, excellent facilities, and perfect location made it a memorable stay. I would especially like to express my sincere appreciation to Ms. Stella and Ms. Hope for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional support throughout my visit. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable and smooth β their warm hospitality truly reflects the Hilton standard of excellence. Thank you to the entire team for making my short stay so enjoyable. I look forward to returning again soon! Eric Duong

A nice hotel in a very convenient spot. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The guest staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant served some unique dishes. Fitness center was pretty standard...a treadmill and some dumbbells. Kinda expected that. I definitely would recommend staying here and I look forward to staying again.

We stayed her just for a night but this place is really very convenient. Rooms are spacious.Beds were very comfortable. Welcoming staff. Parking is a bit difficult to find on the back street in the tower adjacent to the Hotel. Saffron Carrot Halwa was amazing.

Amazing hotel, friendly and professional staff. Easy accessible car park. The only negative thing was that our deluxe king room has only one little window facing a wall. We have stayed here twice and will come back again. The restaurant serves nice tasty breakfast and have a great selection of meals for dinner. Beautiful building, centrally located.

A below average Dtree experience for the price. When I arrived the doorman was far busier chatting on his phone than to open the door for a guest with luggage. This was a theme that a lot of the staff seemed preoccupied on their mobiles. The room was fine, comfortable bed. Generally clean and good shower and bathroom. Though the shower gel was empty and not restocked during my stay. Breakfast had a good selection and the hot and cold items including the porridge were all good quality. When I returned at 3 on my second day, my room was still not refreshed, which I think is unacceptable as it means you either forgo this, be disturbed or go out again. I enquired at reception and was nonchalantly advised that they prioritise check in rooms until 3pm. Inefficient in my view. Breakfast and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Iβm a diamond member and usually stay at a Hilton if there is one, I wouldnβt return to this one however.

Opted to spend more time in Wellington than Auckland, and found this gem. It's an old 1928 building that has modern updates but still embracing its past architectural features. The location of this hotel is excellent, right there in the middle of everything including the cable car, the waterfront, botanic garden, and fine shopping. Our room was very comfortable. Staff here was excellent and accommodating. Delicious chocolate chip cookies upon check in, friendly helpful staff in the dining room for breakfast and dinner. Complimentary breakfast was sumptuous! All in all just a wonderful stay.
