Breakfast here is genuinely excellent. It’s at the top-end price-wise but the quality is superb and the portions generous. I had the ‘big’ breakfast (mixed grill I think it was called?) and my fellow diner had the caponata and raved about it. I wish I photographed them before we started…. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended.
Cool vibe, chilled wine & hot fire. A great wine bar with warm and friendly service from our Shri Lankan waiter Andrew. Will post more once we have enjoyed the cuisine. Looking forward to classic Sunday roast this weekend.
Sunday Roast was fantastic! Had the pork roast incl crackle with potatoes, gravy and all the trimmings. The pork was moist and full of flavor. Great wines too. We will be back. thanks Meadow Team
Got the wagyu burger and truffle fries. Fries were great but burger was under seasoned although the size of the patty was great. Crepes were delicious. Food took quite a while to come.
Delicious food and great service at Meadow. I had the Mexican egg dish which was very unique and so yum, would definitely get it again !! The French toast was a lovely sweet treat and the meadow vegetarian had all the goodness you are after. The atmosphere is lovely, we were sat next to the fireplace which was a treat on a cold winters day. Thanks meadow !
First and foremost, the oil soaked fries killed all my expectations for how the rest of the food was going to taste. Couldn’t eat the fries at all, so didn’t get the value for the money we paid for the chicken burger. Almost wanted to send the food back. The “chicken curry” was almost a soup with just chicken tenderloins - a butter chicken replica. Spent almost $70 for two main with no drinks or dessert yet it wasn’t satisfactory whatsoever. Won’t recommend
I couldn’t decide on what to have so ended up having what was recommended to us and it was divine! Beside that the fries were amazing and I definitely would go back just for that. Staff are friendly and great service. Anyone visiting Auckland needs to check this place out - I know I’ll be back.
The coffee was colder than warm and the rim of the cup was VERY dirty. The side of the cup looked like someone lipped it. It didnt taste like 'real' coffee at all and the foam was very bubbly. It felt like the coffee was out for 10min before serving. The french toast was supppper raw in the middle so it had a strong eggy taste and very gooey. The service was poor. The host/manager "greeted" us in an unfriendly manner. I didn't provide this feedback in person because it was the long weekend and staff might be busy and overwhelmed.
