Really good experience going to this restaurant in Botany. Its usually busy so its better to get here earlier rather than later. The food quality has really improved over the years. We started off with the garlic loaf bread, dixie fries and prawn star which go very well with the drinks. During winter time the ginger lemon tea served here is also amazing! The Johnny Stash, Snapper Paradise and stand by your lab were amazing. And to conclude the Affogato was a perfect finish. Really recommend people in Botany to go and try food in this place. Also the staff are very friendly.

We ordered the following dishes: Rock the Boat (Fish) – It was okay, but a bit underwhelming for the price ($37). Ribeye – Very tender and cooked medium rare. Tastes good, but quite pricey at $49. Sirloin – Medium rare as well; flavour was a bit overwhelming and still somewhat chewy. New Porker – Reminds me of crispy pata. Really good and worth trying. Overall: A bit on the pricey side, but the food is tasty. The meals come with chips, mash, and veggies as sides. But we still ordered $11 chilli rice. Food is Flavourful. Good steak. There’s just a bit of waiting.

Lovely spacious restaurant in the heart of Botany Town Centre. The food was delicious, the mussels in white wine and garlic cream was so good. The pork belly was tender and the crackling cooked to perfection and the potato bake complimented the whole dish. The longhorn cheesecake was yummy with subtle flavors of kaluha and moro bar, very nice. A really enjoyable evening made even better by the polite and attentive staff. We would gladly dine here again.

Delicious food! Great service too and was very attentive, despite us coming at a late hour. Would highly recommend the fish - ‘Rock the Boat’, sauce was tasty and big portion as well. Nachos had a generous amount of toppings and chicken tenders were great as well :)

Good for a family night out Botany's Lone Star is local and fits the bill nicely. Steaks, nachos, pork and burritos came out in an acceptable time frame and was universally given the thumbs up. Although I would usually like to grab a steak from a designated steak house not a franchise I found Lone Star great.

Pretty quick service! Appreciated the buttons on the table which was easier than waving down workers. The garlic bread definitely left something to be desired - really yummy and soft bread, but definitely could do with more buttery-ness and garlicky-ness as well. Could really only faintly taste the garlic! The New Porker was really delicious - wonderfully crunchy crackling and soft pork meat. Loved all the sides as they were complimentary to the pork. Great portion sizes for dinner and would recommend for anyone looking for a hearty meal.

The family and I called in to Lone Star Restaurant at Botany Downs today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was of excellent quality and the waitstaff were extremely friendly and attentive. The service was very prompt and efficient. Every dish we tried was flavourful and cooked to perfection. The decor was modern and inviting, along with some upbeat country music making it a great atmosphere to relax and dine in. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal.

I have been here a handful of times; mainly special occasions like birthdays etc. I really like how the staff would try to make it super special by singing Happy Birthday (upon request). I remember the eyes of children lighting up with happy faces making such precious memories. Contrary, it is hilarious seeing the embarrassed and SURPRISED faces of celebrants (esp who are shy and not proud of turning older in their -ty's). The food and the service were always great. I recall always leaving with a full tummy and a happy smile. The wait time was fine but we take the consideration of how many people ordered before us. I can only remember one time being slightly impatient. Today, I dined with my bf but for no special occasion. We had pork belly and steak. Food was amazing. Especially pork belly with pumpkin puree. Garlic bread was nicely made too. Staff were friendly and checked in on us once. All had a positive vibe. When service/order button pressed, staff came promptly. Very minor feedback: I think bathroom maintenance need to be more regular. The toilet rolls were near empty and you ran out of handsoaps.
