   Friendly restaurant in the heart of Auckland. Great happy hour deals and a ton of great food and drink options. During my stay in Auckland, I came here twice and both times had great service and food. Also tried the various cocktails and every one was inspired and tastes great. Good value for money and a great fix for mexixan cuisine in Auckland. Loved the taco salads and cocktails, found the brownie to not really be worth it (it's definitely not bad, I just personally prefer deserts heavier in chocolate). Note that the restaurant is at the top of a fairly narrow stairwell, I don't think it's accessible for individuals with reduced mobility.

   It was our 1st time dining at a mexican eatery and the food was really good and so was the service, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it for those who would like a 1st time good experience eating mexican food

   Central city venue that was convenient to us looking for somewhere in the heart of Auckland...and it was well staffed. I have had better food options here in the past. This time I didn't get the authentication of "tasty" Mexican food. Service was obliging but only after being prompted by us. However staff were very friendly. Sadly the food was not up to previous standards.

   Great place with Mexican colors and a breathtaking view of the Sky Tower. Good cocktails and delicious typical dishes. The service is good but as soon as we finished our plates, they came to clear them away... we had the impression that we had to quickly leave the table. For the atmosphere, all that was missing was a little background music.

   The OG Mexican Restaurant in Victoria St for decades. Visited recently after a long hiatus. Thought was closed down..but still operating. The food is decent and suggest stay on the authentic Mexican dishes. I had the fish which had a bit of a fishy smell. For desserts the churros was below bar..but the brownie was good.Otherwise a decent Mexican dishes and atmosphere. From my knowledge this place has been operating from the 80s.

   Mexican Cafe is my go to when I visit Auckland. I've been a dozen times over the last 3 years and it's always good. I took my brothers and my dad for a meal Friday on their 40th birthday and it was awesome. The staff are great, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is second to none. You can guarantee I'll be there again this week when I come up for work and take my team out for dinner.

   Delicious food, especially the cheese dip. Large amount of vegetarian dishes. The drinks were also good, not many beer options but a few different cocktails and lots of tequila, and the frozen margaritas were tasty. Definitely recommend going for happy hour as they have some good deals. Atmosphere was great and staff were friendly and attentive.

   We found this place on the first night we landed in Auckland from Australia. Place looked amazing, fully decorated just like in Mexico, with a full bar and amazing looking baloney dining area. We didn’t get to sit in the balcony as it was full and we were also advised that the kitchen is very busy and will take a while for our food. When the food did come out it was great. Recommend this place if you looking for a great atmosphere and authentic Mexican food.
