“This is one of the finest restaurants in Auckland city. I seldom write reviews about restaurants. My brother was a chef and you have to be pretty good to impress me. It is a popular Middle-Eastern and South-West Asian restaurant with authentic and traditional dishes. It is the "chef that makes the restaurant", not the other way round. The dishes were outstanding! I have just come back from Melbourne city and they blow away the competition over there. They win hands down, nobody comes even close to them. I had Tabouleh which comes from modern-day Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and Israel. It is a staple in Lebanese cuisine and has been a part of Middle Eastern culinary traditions for centuries. Greek salad, snapper and lamb. Every dish was fantastic!”

“We had brunch on Waitangi Day (Thursday) and absolutely loved it. For the first time, I had a smoothie that was actually better than the ones I make at home—so thank you for that! We went back on Saturday, but this time, the smoothie had noticeably more spinach, which caused it to oxidize quicker. I don’t have a picture, so you’ll have to take my word for it—it was much darker in color and less sweet. That said, the breakfast quality was just as great as the first time.”

“This cafe was recommended to us by a family member for superb salmon bagels. Boy were we not disappointed. I prefer cooked salmon and nothing was too much bother to lightly grill the smoked salmon. It was amazing and very generous. All our table loved everything they had, fettuccine, blat, gf french toast and two salmon bagels. We loved to cafe, friendly, wonderful ambience. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you. Absolutely loved it.”

“Complimentary papadam to start while you look at the menu. Great selection and equally great results when the food arrives. Staff are extremely polite and genuine people. Usually plenty of space as most people do takeaways, by the looks of it. Venue is moody but underlit in my opinion.”

“WOW, my 3rd visit to this establishment for celebrating birthdays and today a MOTHERS DAY high tea experience! This was outstanding, the wait staff really looked after our table despite the cheek I gave them all. The place settings and tea selection was first class, then came the delicious high tea style food plus hot savouries absolutely amazing and super delicious we managed to eat everything presented! After our feasting we all went for a stroll around the beautiful property, fantastic a wonderful place for wedding photo shoot! Oh and the venue of course. Thank you for the most enjoyable trouble free MOTHERS DAY celebration! No dishes or cleaning up required! “Surprisingly authentic Chinese restaurant in the middle of Auckland CBD. The food is well prepared. It is apparent that they actually take the time to marinate the food for an adequate amount of time using the right seasoning before cooking, which yields an authentic and intense flavor. This is not the typical Chinese restaurant which just dump salty sauce on bland meat. This place is legit! Service was quick and friendly, makes one feel like going home for dinner. All good. I went there twice in three days and consistently failed to take pictures of the food before eating because it was just too yummy.”

“I come here almost every morning. Great food and coffee, nice staff, kind and helpful. Pet friendly. I must say recently this Month an elder man had an episode (seizure, heart attack, I don’t know exactly what it was) and dropped all the tableware. The staff quickly gave him space and supported him. They cleaned it up the place, called the ambulance and the owner/ manager kept the old man’s company talking to him and calming him until the ambulance arrived. It’s not only a business but a great place with incredible human beings.”

The french toast tasted very fresh, flavourful and delicious while the mocha was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming as the worker at the front provided amazing customer service.”
