Been through in the last 3 weeks a few times in the weekends to get some materials to for a few jobs for the break. Have been in with my in laws, my brother and my parents. The salesperson (middle aged lady) behind the trade desk in the warehouse has been rude every single time, I know we’re not fully in the know being weekend warriors but this is what the weekend trade is about. We’re paying full price on timber and you are making maximum profit on it so not rolling eyes, and trying to some what muster a smile or any spark of customer service would be nice.
Called in on Saturday to "look" at purchasing another BBQ as the old smoker was dying. In particular a $200 grill I read about. Sophie checked on us and answered a few questions, directed us to various items we were looking at. She was incredibly helpful, very patient and happy to help in any way she could. We left with over $1k of kit and Sophie even helped us load the car. This is typical of the service we get there, and we will be back early next year to upgrade the garden furniture. Thank you Sophie. I LOVE the new grill. Steaks last night were yummy.
1 checkout staff working on a busy day, went to pay for my stuff (2 bolts with nuts and washers), when i was at checkout the lady noticed all the washers where different, despite them all being from the same bin. She then spent the next 5 minutes individually measuring each one (causing a massive que to build up) of them to make sure I paid the extra 10 cents or whatever. She then proceded to ask to lool at the part i brought in to check fitment (very clearly used and not something they sell) to make sure I wasn't trying to steal it!!!
Their price match guarantee isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. They over price by 15-50%, say they’ll match, and then tell you that because the other shop closed 15 minutes ago they won’t match their price. Don’t bother driving 30 minutes to come and see these plonkers. Go to Bunnings where they know what customer service and integrity in their brand and offering are.
Went in store to look for heaters. Wasn't sure on what one to get for our home, thankfully Greg was there to help! He was super knowledgeable and made making a decision quick and easy. Thanks Greg!
From our experience this store has the friendliest and generally most knowledgeable staff of any of the big box stores we've used. Coffeet shops not bad either.
Awesome experience at Mitre10 today, vast range of products on offer at great prices too (added bonus that everything we needed was in stock) Special mention to Louisa in the Kitchen/Bathroom department. Louisa is very friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I were taken care of throughout our entire visit.

Believe it or not the store has actually become to big. Items are sometimes too far apart. Staff are friendly but customer service lacks. Every staff member seems to be caught up in their own world and area. You have to go to customer service desk to get help which of course is to far away! Front of house looks nice and tidy but back aisle is messy and sometimes a hazard. Mitre 10 has become a hardware store moving to homeware and household / gift store. They don’t really know what they want to be! Prices are higher than the competition!
