Indian Summer was one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in Auckland! It’s such a cute and intimate restaurant with insanely delicious meals, drinks, and desserts! We had a big group and tried a mix of all different types of meals! The staff and owners are all so extremely friendly and kind. 10/10 Definitely recommend!
Complimentary papadam to start while you look at the menu. Great selection and equally great results when the food arrives. Staff are extremely polite and genuine people. Usually plenty of space as most people do takeaways, by the looks of it. Venue is moody but underlit in my opinion.
Excellent dine-in atmosphere for a suburban Indian restaurant. Flavours have nothing to write home about, no authenticity in flavours period. Flavours are too sweet and too Europeanised despite letting them know we wanted authentic Indian spicy. Our take away order took over 45 minutes, so not too impressed. This isn't the first time we've ordered but there are only so many opportunities you can give.
It was first visit in India summer restaurant. Awesome food and service. We had paneer tikka masala and chicken korma great taste. Tried dessert mango kulfi and gulab jamun. Best mango kulfi I have ever tried. I recommend to book table.
May 2023 This was our first time here. The food was excellent and certainly what we expected. The table service was very good too and the proprietor was happy to explain the decorations that surrounded the restaurant. These decorations depicted the proprietors' cooking journey in India and enhanced the Atmosphere of the restaurant. Will certainly recommend Indian Summer to my friends.
Had the chicken tikka masala, very yummy. But the garlic on the naan bread wasn’t cooked through. Naan bread was good tho. Mango lassi was also very good
