“I love this store. Very clean, tidy shelving, easy to find items. The isles are quite wide for a small store, so no one bumps into each other. Produce is fresh. Meat selection is good. It has this really calming feel for simmering so stressful for me as grocery shopping.”
“Pak’nSave Albany is one of the bigger branches on the North Shore, and it definitely shows. The store is spacious, fairly modern, and usually well-stocked, making it a popular choice for families and bulk shoppers. It keeps to the classic Pak’nSave model — low prices, minimal decor, and a focus on practicality over presentation — but the Albany location feels a bit more polished than some of the older ones. The layout is easy to follow, with wide aisles and clear signage, so you’re not bumping trolleys every few seconds. The shelves are usually full, especially earlier in the day, and there’s a decent range of both budget brands and the more well-known labels. Prices are, as expected, very competitive. You’ll find good specials across most departments, and if you’re shopping for a big household, it’s one of the better options to keep costs down. The fresh produce section is generally reliable. Some days the quality is top notch, other times it’s more average — pretty normal for Pak’nSave. The meat section offers good value and a decent selection, and the bakery is basic but has all the essentials. There’s also a reasonable selection of international foods, which reflects the local community well. Staff are usually friendly enough, though it’s mostly a self-service experience unless you go looking for help. Checkout times are fairly efficient, with a good number of lanes open during busy periods and a decent set of self-service checkouts for smaller shops. The carpark is big, but it does fill up, especially on weekends. That said, it’s well laid out and doesn’t feel like a fight to find a spot, even when it’s busy. Being close to other stores and amenities makes it easy to combine errands in one trip. One thing to note, like at other Pak’nSaves, is that what’s advertised online might not always match what’s in store, so it’s worth shopping with a bit of flexibility. All up, Pak’nSave Albany is a good choice if you want decent prices, a clean store, and enough space to do a full shop without feeling crammed in. It’s practical, reliable, and does exactly what you’d expect — no frills, just solid savings.”
“Raced into Farmers (Nor west) to update my foundation. However I had my product wrong name. Any other assistance could have said- no, we don't have that, but Mina (beautiful Persian woman) went the extra mile to find out what I actually wanted, and sourced the product from another counter. Her gracious manner throughout, reminded me that purchases for myself deserve to be less hurried and to enjoy taking time for me.”
“Good, friendly services from staff. Good price range, after discount a pair of shoes starts as low as $30. Plent parking out in the front. The best outlet store in that part of the shopping centre.. Along with Asics, Converse, New Balance etc.. No need to go all the way to Onehunga DressMart (although that store is bigger and more range to choose from). Highly recommended for a visit. Great value for money that's for sure.”
“Best Pak n Save branch I've been too. Their bakery is excellent offering fresh cream doughnuts, Leamingtons etc that many other branches are limited on. Also some exclusive bargains here, not available at other stores and a 10 cent discount fuel voucher instead of the usual 6 cents. Well done!”
“Greg the customer service team leader at Mitre 10 Mega New Lynn went the extra mile to ensure I received first class service. I cannot speak more highly of him and his dedication to ensuring good customer service. I am very happy in all respects with this store and would not hesitate to recommend the store to others.”
“Manager Casey, Bella and Paul are superb with their customer service. Very polite , friendly and very helpful . Great store and great people . Thank you team.”
“Outstanding service by the sales rep, Erza. Super friendly, and so so patient. He is an exemplary example of what every salesperson should be. Walked out with my first pair of Florsheim shoes.”
“Harry was an amazing salesman! Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! We walked out with three pairs of shoes!!! Excellent staff!!!”
“The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive, they helped us find the perfect pair of shoes after around 10 tests of different numbers. Once again, thank you very much”
“Top rated salesperson (Millan) who knew his product and advised optimum shoes for my grandson. I was not only grateful, but also impressed by Millan's knowledge and ability to advise wisely. We will continue our patronage at Aasics due to our confidence in the product as well as salesperson's knowledge as to what was best given our needs. Thank you”
“Just had the pleasure of being fitted by Michael and I would rate him 10 stars if I could. Incredible service, so informative and patient. I haven’t had service like he gave in years. He is such a credit to this company. Me and my husband have both been fitted by him now and both occasions have been EXCEPTIONAL.”
“Was shopping, ishaana gave excellent service and was able to recommend extra pieces to compliment my outfit. Highly recommend”
“Long awaited and delayed review. If you want to buy a suit that looks good, feels good? Talk to Mustafa, he will help you out! Make sure you look sharp and if you get it tailored it will look like you got it custom made. Mustafa is the man to go to, excellent customer service and banter will visit again!”
“Great service , really nice clothes that are really well priced .. looking forward to the summer range :)”
“We have bought few suit. Buuuuut we have changed maybe 6 along the way. (We had few people) And the stuff was sooo helpful, so professional and kind. I could not recommend them more. Thank you. You have made our wedding party so special.”
“We visited the store at Thursday evening when the mall was pretty quite. And although we were just browsing around, we decided to purchase some thermals for kid and the man at the counter was super friendly and helpful when we picked the wrong item! And he was very patient when we were trying to log into our account and after our card was declined twice. We felt welcome there even if it was evening when normally staff are so ready to go home and they don’t look forward to wandering people.”
“Pak’nSave Sylvia Park is one of the better options if you’re after cheap groceries but still want a cleaner, more modern shopping experience. Being located right next to the Sylvia Park shopping centre gives it a bit of an edge — it feels a little more polished than some of the older Pak’nSaves around Auckland, and the vibe is a bit less hectic, at least during off-peak hours. The store itself is fairly new, well-lit, and spacious. Aisles are wide enough to get through without having to constantly dodge other trolleys, and the layout makes sense. It’s still got that classic Pak’nSave look — plain, functional, no fancy extras — but it’s more pleasant to walk around than somewhere like Papakura or Royal Oak. Prices are solid. You’ll find all the usual weekly deals and budget-friendly bulk items. If you’re planning a big shop or trying to save a bit each week, this place delivers. The produce section is usually well-stocked and fresher than average. Same goes for the meat department — good variety, and the quality seems to be a bit more consistent here compared to other branches. The bakery has your standard breads and rolls, nothing gourmet, but decent for everyday needs. Staff are generally helpful. They’re not going to chase you down to offer assistance, but if you ask someone, they’ll usually point you in the right direction or find what you need. Checkout times can vary — self-service is available and useful for smaller shops, while the manned checkouts are hit-or-miss depending on the time of day. Parking is actually pretty good since it shares space with Sylvia Park Mall. There’s heaps of it, and it’s not as chaotic as some other Pak’nSave carparks. That said, it can get busy during peak shopping hours or weekends, especially when the mall is packed, but it’s manageable and definitely better than the tight squeeze at places like Royal Oak. One minor issue is that, like with other Pak’nSaves, not everything listed online matches what’s available in-store. So if you’re going in for something specific you saw on the website, be prepared for it to be out of stock or just not stocked at this location. All up, Pak’nSave Sylvia Park strikes a pretty good balance — you get the low prices and variety that Pak’nSave is known for, but with a cleaner, more organised store layout and a bit less stress. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and don’t mind skipping the frills to get the savings.”
“Best shopping experience I have had in a long time. Extremely helpful but not pushy staff. So polite and patient.”
“I have never felt so comfortable in a store. My partner and I were served by two girls and the manager, they were so nice and so accommodating!!! I will definitely be back!”
“A big shout out to the Pukekohe Farmer’s store yesterday for their amazing help to locate my lost keys. I always get outstanding service in the store.”
“Great experience shopping at Kathmandu Botany today. A very friendly lady helped me find the suitable hooded towel. Best customer service. Thanks a lot.”
“Amazing customer service - I enquired online about purchasing a pair of shoes to send to Australia and within the day they were purchased and arrived 2 days later via courier. Thank you to Tiffany for your assistance!”
“I mown a few pairs of winter boots. Some are newrlyb15 years old and well made, some need waterproofing on their soles and some are just leather fashion boots well enough constructed to warrant extra care. Having tried a few different leaves I can’t say hand down these guys do a fantastic job. Six months after the work has been done they have years ahead of them and they took the extra cadre to make them comfortable and look like new. Thank you. I highly recommend your services to my friends especially to revamp our old favourites. Always helpful and a great service. The extra cost if there is any is well worth is for the skill and expertise. Thank you. I will be back.”
“Always the best of advice and service every time I go. Love their easy atmosphere and easy going staff.”
“I got served by Nina at the store she is amazing so helpful and friendly!”
“Brendan, one of the staff members at Nike, provided amazing customer service. He was knowledgeable about various aspects, such as how shoe sizes may fit tighter and when the store will restock items. His level of customer service was among the best I’ve experienced at Sylvia Park.”
“A first time visit. I couldn't find two or three items. One of the staff went with me, took the items from the shelves and into my trolley. Asked if I needed something else. I had done my shopping, so thanked him. I liked the place so much, I bought a few extras.”
“The asian lady that served me was wonderful. A great deal and she made it even better. Sleeping bag and bed.”
“Pak’nSave Silverdale is a well-sized, tidy store that serves the wider Hibiscus Coast area and does a solid job of it. It’s not flashy or overly modern, but it’s practical and clean, with that familiar warehouse-style layout that Pak’nSave is known for. If you’re after low prices without the bells and whistles, it ticks the right boxes. The store is spacious and easy to navigate, even during busier times. Aisles are wide, shelves are usually well-stocked, and signage is clear enough to help you find what you need without wandering too much. The overall vibe is no-frills, but things generally run smoothly and efficiently. Prices are sharp across the board — groceries, meat, produce, and household items all come in at the lower end, especially if you keep an eye out for specials. The fruit and veg section can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day you visit, but most of the time it’s decent. The meat section usually has a good range at affordable prices, and the bakery offers the basics like bread, rolls, and a few sweet treats. Staff are usually around if you need help, but it’s a typical Pak’nSave setup — more of a DIY experience. Most people are just in and out, focused on the shop, so don’t expect high-touch service. That said, checkout lines move fairly quickly and self-service options help if you’re only picking up a few things. The carpark is decent with a fair amount of space, though it can get full during peak shopping times, especially weekends. The location is handy too, close to other shops in the area, so it’s easy to tick off errands in one go. As with other Pak’nSaves, the online listings don’t always match what’s in-store, so it’s best to go in with a flexible list rather than expecting everything to be there. Overall, Pak’nSave Silverdale is a dependable local spot. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, roomy, and delivers on what really matters — saving money. If you’re in the area and want to stock up without spending too much, it’s worth the stop.”
