   I’m writing to express my disappointment with the customer service at the Botany store. This is now the second time I’ve had a negative experience with a staff member, and I feel it’s necessary to raise a formal complaint. The first incident happened a few months ago when I was looking to buy a water bottle. I asked a male staff member if there were any other color options available. His response was very unpleasant, and he came across as uninterested and unwilling to help. At the time, I didn’t take it personally, thinking he might have been having a bad day. The recent incident occurred when I came in planning to buy a pair of shoes today. I approached the same male staff to ask for my size, but he completely ignored me. I said “hello”, yet he continued looking around as if I wasn’t there at all. I felt disrespected. As a result of this repeated poor professionalism, I left the store immediately without purchasing anything and have decided not to return to this store again. After these bad experiences, I can no longer overlook the pattern of poor customer service. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately to ensure future customers are treated with basic respect and professionalism. Otherwise, Kathmandu Botany, you will definitely lose your reputation and sales.

   Visited Kathmandu today with my husband to look for some clothes. We accidentally walked into the women’s section, and a staff member came over to ask if we needed help. We politely asked if there was a larger size, and she coldly replied, “Men’s is over there.” We immediately said “sorry,” but she didn’t respond and looked very unfriendly. While we were browsing in the men’s section, she stood at the front counter and kept staring at us with an uncomfortable and unfriendly expression. Even when we walked to the checkout area, her attitude remained cold and condescending. We didn’t do anything wrong — we tried on clothes and returned them neatly. I honestly don’t understand why we were treated that way. Because of this staff member’s attitude, we chose not to purchase anything from this store. It was a deeply disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning to this Kathmandu again. The customer service was unacceptable and far from professional.

   If anyone from Head Office reads this, give your staff in the Botany branch a raise - they are absolute legends, especially the store manager! I came in with a difficult issue and not much hope to have it fixed, but he went out of his way to help. What an asset to the Kathmandu brand! Absolutely made my day to meet such kind people, thank you so much. :)

   Went to get some hiking shoes today and got outstanding customer service! The lady was so incredibly helpful and got me the same shoe I requested in a size +/- and in different styles so I could choose which one I'd prefer. There was also good knowledge about the products which helped me make my decision today. Very glad to have visited Kathmandu to get some gear (shoes and some hiking socks).
