   This is honestly the best Pak’nSave I’ve visited so far. The store is very clean and surprisingly has a more premium, well-organised look compared to others. You can genuinely tell why this one is considered one of the best, everything feels well maintained and easy to navigate. Overall, a great shopping experience.

   I usually have good experiences at this Pak’nSave, but what happened today at the Lotto counter left me very disappointed. I bought a yogurt at 9:10 AM 07/11/2025 and went home, only to find that the inner seal was not properly sealed. I returned to the store straight away with the yogurt and the receipt. While waiting in line at the Lotto counter, the staff member (name starting with “M”) let another customer skip ahead of me without explanation. When it was my turn, he spoke to me in a very dismissive and rude tone. He repeatedly interrupted me and even said: “You bought it hours ago. I don’t know what you did with the yogurt.” This comment was completely unnecessary and felt insulting, especially when my two receipts clearly showed the visits were less than an hour apart. Instead of explaining the refund policy, he questioned my honesty and ignored what I was trying to say. The manager arrived and immediately approved the refund, which shows my request was reasonable. After that, the staff member said to me, in a condescending tone, “You are so lucky, because he is nice.” What upset me the most was the difference in attitude. I noticed he was friendly to other customers before me, but his tone changed only when it came to me. I cannot say why, but it made me feel I was treated differently, and it was a very uncomfortable experience. Refunds and policies are one thing, but basic respect is another. I hope the store will look into this and ensure all customers are treated fairly and politely.

   Purchased the deli made macaroni cheese family meal on reduced pricing 23.08.25. It was absolutely delish! I will definitely be purchasing this again. Took photos before it was totally devoured.

   Pak’nSave Albany is one of the bigger branches on the North Shore, and it definitely shows. The store is spacious, fairly modern, and usually well-stocked, making it a popular choice for families and bulk shoppers. It keeps to the classic Pak’nSave model — low prices, minimal decor, and a focus on practicality over presentation — but the Albany location feels a bit more polished than some of the older ones. The layout is easy to follow, with wide aisles and clear signage, so you’re not bumping trolleys every few seconds. The shelves are usually full, especially earlier in the day, and there’s a decent range of both budget brands and the more well-known labels. Prices are, as expected, very competitive. You’ll find good specials across most departments, and if you’re shopping for a big household, it’s one of the better options to keep costs down. The fresh produce section is generally reliable. Some days the quality is top notch, other times it’s more average — pretty normal for Pak’nSave. The meat section offers good value and a decent selection, and the bakery is basic but has all the essentials. There’s also a reasonable selection of international foods, which reflects the local community well. Staff are usually friendly enough, though it’s mostly a self-service experience unless you go looking for help. Checkout times are fairly efficient, with a good number of lanes open during busy periods and a decent set of self-service checkouts for smaller shops. The carpark is big, but it does fill up, especially on weekends. That said, it’s well laid out and doesn’t feel like a fight to find a spot, even when it’s busy. Being close to other stores and amenities makes it easy to combine errands in one trip. One thing to note, like at other Pak’nSaves, is that what’s advertised online might not always match what’s in store, so it’s worth shopping with a bit of flexibility. All up, Pak’nSave Albany is a good choice if you want decent prices, a clean store, and enough space to do a full shop without feeling crammed in. It’s practical, reliable, and does exactly what you’d expect — no frills, just solid savings.

   We've been here many times, generally it's good. However, after purchasing some cooked food today, the customer service lady refused to offer me any spoon or fork, and she was not very polite. It's not easy for customers to eat mashed potatoes with their fingers. Also, unfortunately, the mashed potato is not drinkable.

   It’s an enormous place, very busy. The fruit & veg were top quality & everywhere you went there were very pleasant staff to help when required including in the car park. Good prices, just wish I lived closer! I used click & collect which was easy.
