   Staff inside the store were busy but attentive to my needs... however once in the yard after 5 different staff deliberately ignoring us, one finally helped us. (We were the only customer on the yard). Sigh... considering the volume of business we put thru Carters and others it was disappointing but not the 1st time...

   The counter/gate/yard staff at this branch are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The two ladies and the guy on the counter today that served me interacted well with each other and with the other customers next to me. Special mention also for the gate guy who is up for a bit of yak and the yard man who loaded the wood. I am from the small town of Motueka and this reminded me of days past when you felt a friendly vibe at a business in town. I drove out of the Hendo branch today with a load of wood and a smile.

   Can be bloody hard getting out of here with the gate check system. Had it too good for too long. Bunnings ok for small orders with central pickup and loan trailer.
