    Greg the customer service team leader at Mitre 10 Mega New Lynn went the extra mile to ensure I received first class service. I cannot speak more highly of him and his dedication to ensuring good customer service. I am very happy in all respects with this store and would not hesitate to recommend the store to others.

    Young guy was fantastic, rushed off his feet but still found the time to track down some hard to find parts for a bestway pool. He had found a similar faulty model pool that had been returned with the parts I needed. His manager, Daisy, who came across as unwilling to help and undermining her staff members impressive service, After spending a few minutes trying to look up the codes for the parts, she decided it was too hard so wandered off to help someone else. I had the parts in my hands but she wasn't prepared to sell them as it was too hard to deal with the paperwork. If they had said too hard to start with, fine, but wasting an hour of time is what is particularly annoying. I feel sorry for the young guy working there doing his best to help customers with curly requests only for inflexible managers to end up wasting the time of everyone involved. Mark stock as random product, tidy the paperwork later, earn loyal customer and move on.

    Been a long time purchaser of Takanini Feeds Chook Chow, New Lynn was the only store local to me that stocked it, my chooks love it and I understand it’s a popular product. Very very disappointed to discover this is no longer stocked here and has been replaced with an inferior NRM brand of feed which my chooks won’t eat. It was great to be able to support my local store and so convenient, and now I have to buy it online. Please bring this product back - why on earth did you stop stocking it??

    If I could give 0, I would! I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Mitre 10 Mega New Lynn regarding my LawnMaster lawnmower warranty repair (Repair ID: 2373366). What I experienced was unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking for a brand that is supposed to be known for good customer service. 1. Repair lodged on 8th November: but staff claimed I dropped it off on the 12th I handed the lawnmower over on 8 November 2025, yet when I called one week later, I was casually told it was β€œprocessed on the 12th.” When I corrected them, the excuse was that the operator was a trainee who didn’t know what she was doing. This already showed how poorly the job was handled from the start. 2. Twice told it was marked HIGH PRIORITY: but it actually wasn’t I called again the following week. The receptionist told me she had emailed the repair team because nobody was answering their phone, but she reassured me that my job was marked as a HIGH PRIORITY repair. This was completely false. When I called again on 22nd Nov, after being kept on hold for 15 minutes, I was told the repair will take 4-6 weeks with no such thing as a high-priority status. So the β€œhigh-priority” story was clearly just something said to get me off the phone. 3. Ridiculous customer service behaviour The person who handled my call on the 22nd was extremely unprofessional. She claimed she was a supervisor, but after 5 minutes of me explaining the issue, she suddenly said she would β€œget her manager.” Two minutes later she returned saying someone from yesterday will call me back instead. No clarity, no follow-up, nothing. It honestly felt like nobody wanted to take responsibility. 4. Staff who don’t understand the products they inspect When I first brought the mower in, the person inspecting it panicked because there was a little fuel leakage. He acted like it was a life-threatening situation and completely overreacted, which instantly gave me the impression that I was dealing with someone who doesn’t understand lawnmowers at all. 5. A 1 year-old mower with a 5-year warranty: yet no urgency and no professionalism This mower is only one year old, with a 5-year warranty, but the attitude and service I received made it feel like they were trying to push me away instead of helping. 6. Mitre 10 needs to fix the inconsistency between franchise branches I recently learned that different Mitre 10 branches are operated by different franchise owners. That explains why some branches (like Henderson) provide decent service, while New Lynn feels like a completely different experience and not in a good way. Final Thoughts::: This entire process has been frustrating, time wasting, and completely avoidable. New Lynn Mega seriously needs to improve its customer service standards, staff training, and communication. Customers deserve honesty, follow up, and professionalism not excuses, delays, and being bounced around between people who don’t seem to know what’s going on. I hope this review prompts someone within Mitre 10 to actually look into my repair and fix the bigger issue here: how customers are being treated at this branch.

    Asked two stores members to help us with some questions we had about lawn mowers. "Didnt know much about them" waited 20 mins for the person called to come and help us. Left after 20 mins and drove to Bunnings around the corner

    Great customer service and very helpful staff. I went a little early on the time I scheduled my click on collect and the employee said that they had it ready already. Overall, I am satisfied on the shopping experience.

    Staff members are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Prices are quite reasonable though not as cheap as Bunnings. The store is huge with plenty of items for your gardening & DIY projects. If you collect Air New Zealand Airpoints, then this shop will give you Airpoints. Parking spaces are plenty; and you're also able to get in and out from Clark Street. If this is not your local store, I would recommend you to find your local one as if you need to return any items, it'll be much more complicated if you return/exchange/refund it at the different store.
