“The location, the room, the proximity to the main City of Dunedin. We arrived after a long day of travel and when we got into our room, we were so pleased with the cleanliness and the room and the fact that the heating was turned before we entered our room, so as to ensure we had a warm & comfortable room on the chilly night. Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin”

“Awesome camp spot. Key points to remember: - Get there early. It can get very busy, very quickly - Parking. There are a lot of people who use this carpark as a day park for the hikes and rides in the area. And the carpark is not big. So keep calm, and keep trying. - There is no "fresh water source" as such. It's water from the river. - You cannot camp next to you car. You will need to carry your gear. ( It's not too far. But something to remember) - There are a LOT of little pockets of campsites. From the carpark you cannot see them all, so keep looking!”

“Very good accommodation. Very clean, very nice service, quiet, location close enough to both Papamoa and Mt Maunganui. Only slight issue was the shower could have had better shampoo/body wash.”

“When we walked in everyone knew we were tourists, but they were all do welcoming. The barman helped us find a beer that we liked. Everyone was fantastic. We even brought a t-shirt. In Dog We Trust”

“My wife & I enjoyed staying 3 nights. Tina the owner was really lovely to deal with making the booking & arrival pleasant. Tina has created a cosy lounge area to relax in with a warm fire going. The bedrooms with there large beds are tastefully set out with views across Auckland on the top floors. It was a treat to stay hear, easy to find & convenient to all amenities only 20ish minutes from the city. We would return here if needing to stay in Auckland again”

“Had an AMAZING time. I never post reviews but I have to say their staff was super friendly, my partner and I loved the kayaks available and the bay nearby was perfect for a swim when the tide was in. The accomodation was very clean, had a great set up with a huge fan on the room to keep cool in the summer. Waiting for another available date to open up and will definitely be booking again!! Also..catching the bus to Countdown and Oneroa (the main beach and town) was really easy, with the bus stop only being a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend :))”

“Wonderful host, thank you Gina for the special touches, goodies in the fridge including freshly baked banana bread and the beautiful aroma of dorterra oils. The apartment was adorable, very warm, cosy and immaculately clean. The retro vibe was very unique and nostalgic, I loved it! Shops/cafes just a short walk away, we didnt need the car all weekend. A memorable stay of a perfect weekend.”

“This was a lovely cottage with a pretty garden view. The host was kind and helpful. The rooms each had their own theme and decor that I enjoyed. The shower water pressure was great as well. The location was nice, just outside of town, but close enough for us to see and explore as we had planned.”

“Can’t recommend Marino Ridge enough! Caroline and Peter are amazing hosts. They’re very knowledgeable about life on Waiheke Island and gave us lots of helpful recs for our whole trip through New Zealand. Marino Ridge has incredible views in all directions and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s a great location, with easy access to the ferry, hiking trails, and Oneroa Village.”

“This was my second time staying with Pauline and Steve through Airbnb, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is lovely, with a beautiful view from the courtyard. Pauline even prepared a delicious dinner for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Relaxing in the spa pool before bed was the perfect way to end the day. I left feeling completely recharged!”

“The team at Watercliff was amazing! Such a warm welcome. When we got to our room, they even left us a little note, congratulating us on our anniversary. On our walk, we met the owner, such a nice man. He told us the story of their lovely piece of heaven, which added to the experience. I loved the cold plunge in the river and the sound of the Rurus at night. Will go back in a hurry!”

Their communication and professionalism in the way they handled our property meant our guests were always well looked after and happy and took the worry away from us. “Lovely place and lovely people. Everything was pristine and calm. They even bought us expensive yoghurt because they thought we were in a triathlon, also home made cookies!! Definitely 10/10 recommend to anyone, and such a great location. This place will be my regular when we stay at the Mount.”

“This was an amazing stay for 3 nights in Rose. The rooms are clean and warm, also a well kitted full kitchen. The heated floors in the toilet were a really nice surprise. Privacy was something i wanted and it truely delivered. Amazing, we will be coming back!”

“We had a wonderful intermite gathering with friends and family there, the playground was a highlight for our little ones. It was a lovely day so was able to use the whole ground for garden games. The pool room offered hours of fun and Tracey and Garry went above and beyond to make sure we were all set and looked after. Honestly would recommend to any and everybody looking for the perfect space to relax with family and friends. Thanks SO so much for everything!”

“Echoing the sentiments of the other reviews, this experience was superb. The Kowhai site was beautiful, comfortable, and serene. Private, quiet, and wonderful view. The decor and styling was awesome, I loved their taste. They have thought of everything and you want for nothing during the stay. I highly recommend taking advantage of the catered DIY meal and grazing board. Don’t miss out reading up on the history of Clifton and the family- fascinating story! So glad we found this place and recommend 10/10.”
