We liked everything, because of the weather they were agree to reschedule our trip. We were enchanted when we saw our boatshed and finally we met Paul! Thank you Paul and Paul's family to make this trip perfect we'l be back for sure! Angélique & Johan
My husband and I had to cancel our reservation and fly back to Canada due to my husband’s father passing which was sudden. While I understand what their cancellation policy is, I expected something other than an automated message back. It was disappointing and hurtful to say the least. I expected a little warmth or understanding, which thankfully we did receive from other businesses in NZ. They also don’t have a phone number you can call which makes it feel quite ‘business-like’ and less human. Unfortunate as we were looking forward to staying here. I would not recommend booking and choose an Airbnb next time instead. I have traveled to NZ many times due to family who live there and have never had an issue like this. Very disappointing.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Starfish apartment for one night and our stay was amazing. The apartment was very spacious and was easily able to accomodate three adults and the kitchen and barbecue allowed us to have home cooked meals. The location was also great as it had beautiful views and easy access to public transport. We will definitely be coming back!
Had an AMAZING time. I never post reviews but I have to say their staff was super friendly, my partner and I loved the kayaks available and the bay nearby was perfect for a swim when the tide was in. The accomodation was very clean, had a great set up with a huge fan on the room to keep cool in the summer. Waiting for another available date to open up and will definitely be booking again!! Also..catching the bus to Countdown and Oneroa (the main beach and town) was really easy, with the bus stop only being a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend :))
We had a fabulous time at this cute location ❤️ Very clean and relaxing. We loved the outdoor area with the ducks and chooks and enjoyed watching the tide come in and out. Thanks for your hospitality Paul.
Location and room excellent for a couples getaway. Bright and clean room, a few minutes out of town next to the water. Close enough to walk to a bus stop and supermarket in about 10mins. Open space to sit and enjoy the sun in front of the water with food and drink. Good cooking facilities and utensils, including induction hotplate, for easy meals and barbecue available outside. Kitchen bench slightly small but workable for easy meals and everything available to do dishes. Clean bathroom, great shower pressure and temperature. Friendly owner, great stay, would 100% recommend.
Great location and beautiful views. Rooms are small and provided tea, milk and coffee included. Bedsheets are not clean( having strains ). Otherwise, I love the outdoor sitting area and bus stop and beach within 5 mins walk.
We have stayed at the 2 bedrooms unit downstairs of the hosts. With the only one cheap and out of the date, dusty / not working hairdryer. Text and went upstairs to the hosts, then unfortunately received an unhelpful & unfriendly responses (We understood it was approx 9:30pm but they were still watching TV). She talked to me with a towel over her mouth like I had the COVID or I was something alien that stank, even though I was standing away outside. Imagine after when you washed your long hair at night before going to bed with wet hair… We felt dissatisfied and disappointed with this unprofessional customer service after we have paid and checked in. Although it was a fantastic view from the accommodation. Very sad. We would not staying here again. We wondered how many other equipments were not checked regularly (the fans were full of dust).
First timers to Waiheke and these cute little sheds were perfect for a short stay away. We were greeted by name which was lovely and left to our own devices. We didn't have transportation so it was a little away from things, approximately 15 min walk to Countdown (which was closed unfortunately) but the best ever pizza was there. The units had everything we really needed and now we know the bus stop is just there and easy to take with a bus card we'd stay again!
