Clean, tidy and Dog Friendly! We chose Bonnie Knights because they were dog friendly. Our room was nice, clean with good amenities. Location was excellent, not too far off SH1 and within walking distance of dinner and drinks! Owner was nice, good southern hospitality. Would definitely stay again.
Very impressed with this motel, price and room. Staff very friendly and accomodating for our small dog. Great location close to eating places. Nellie’s was great. Some places who said they were on dog friendly sites are not …expect dog to sleep in the car or charges $15 extra for the dog. Dunedin is the most dog unfriendly place compared to Christchurch. . The location, the room, the proximity to the main City of Dunedin. We arrived after a long day of travel and when we got into our room, we were so pleased with the cleanliness and the room and the fact that the heating was turned before we entered our room, so as to ensure we had a warm & comfortable room on the chilly night. Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin
Service was lovely and staff pleasant and able to assist with an early check in. Property is in close proximity to 100kmph highway which is noisy 24/7. The rooms whilst clean and include all required amenities, feel very dated. The use of single use bathroom amenities instead of refillable options is disappointing in 2025. I also found a spider in my bed on the first night. Good value but disappointing stay.
Thank you Jonathan and the team for a great overnight stay. The room was immaculately clean and the facilities were ideal. We arrived after the restaurant kitchens had closed (8pm) so bought something at the local supermarket to cook. We had everything we needed to cook with. The beds were very comfortable and I appreciated the fan.
Perfect location for traveling around the district. Quiet spacious room with all amenities needed.
Cosy little motel. On a busy road so getting out across the traffic a bit of a wait. Room was comfortable and a good size.
Comfortable beds and furnishings, friendly manager, quiet surroundings, good dog accom rules, handy to pub and gas station, safe area for evening walk, good highway access. But suffers from typical penny pinching leasehold management and contract cleaners. Only half the light bulbs working, two slice toaster - just one side works, too small a fan heater to heat the room, cleaner only wipe one side of door handle, upper shelves never dusted.
Lovely friendly hosts who were very helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again
We stayed one night here in winter, good value for money. We were comfortable and warm. Good tips from management, Walking distance to a family restaurant.
