“We loved spending 4 nights at Wild Thyme! Our hosts were gracious and helpful, with Bruce picking us up at the ferry and delivering us back to the ferry at the end of our stay. We recommend spending a day touring wineries with Jules. It was also easy to walk into town from Wild Thyme, or catch at bus at the bottom of the hill. The bus took us to additional wineries!”

“Thanks to Jim & Lorraine we had a great three day stay in the delightful Rimu Room which was very comfortable. Jim does a great job cooking breakfast which is served in the top room over-looking the ocean. Hard to find a better B&B in NZ. Marion & Colin - Brisbane Australia.”

“The large cottage was lovely and very well appointed. Was not lacking any amenities. Our weather wasn’t that warm so didn’t get to sit outside. The king size bed was so comfortable! I enjoyed a bath (both nights) in the separate bathroom. The bathing products were awesome. The cottages are a bit out of the way but such a great coffee place down the road. So you need to drive a bit to restaurants and wineries which we didn’t mind. There are bikes available to rent onsite. Overall this was one of our favourite places we stayed while in NZ. We loved the country feel but the modern look. Annabel had left fresh eggs which we cooked up for breakfast one am. Lovely!”

“Had a fabulous stay here. Very comfortable and clean room, with all necessary amenities provided. Fantastic spot right next to the cafe and Diamond Harbour eatery, with easy access to the ferry and lots of walking tracks. Really loved being able to have our dog stay with us too. “Everything about this place is what we think "First-Class". The friendliness of the owners, the 110% cleanliness, the many little extras that have been built in to this amazing space is incredible. Plenty of sensor lighting to help with our late night arrival. The mats in the bathroom!!! - never seen this sort of thing previously but after a full night of dancing, to put our feet on these mats relieved the tired and sore spots - they are INCREDIBLE. Such a comfortable bed - we are very happy to have found Denchy's - thank you Linda & Selena - beautiful place to stay - real luxury for us - tho it's small, it's very adequate for our needs along with such a caring environment.”

“What a lovely stay with Tim and Debbie! My sister and I booked a get-away from Auckland and we were delighted with the stay! A cosy room, all recycled materials, lovely guided bush walk in the morning as well as guided glow worm tour in the evening....not to mention breakfast included along with the insightful, warm and funny banter with Tim on the tours. Debbie even made us cupcakes on arrival. We had a great stay and already planning our next visit with more family!”

“This place was more than a home away from home. A pool spa Bbq.. Owners were amazing. Breakfast included 4 different cereals fruit. Different food items in room. It was amazing beds were really comfortable. The room bathroom was so clean. I think this would have to be one of the cleanest places I have stayed at. Something for everyone. Playground out the back AAA+ best to just ring for bookings.”

Staying in a storytelling house which used to be a school was special. We had a great stay in The Old School House!”

“What a beautiful hotel! The rooms were cozy, clean and well-appointed. From the grand staircase to the jacuzzi and amenities in the bathroom, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. There's even a fireplace in our room. It's set in a very quiet spot with gorgeous courtyards in the front and the back of the estate. There is a salon with a fireplace where you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and cocktails. I had my wedding here and the staff were unbelievably helpful and supportive. It was such a memorable experience and I will definitely be staying here again.”
