Whenever we are down in Dunedin Mackies is where we stay. Mackies is a place full of character- we love that! The historical photographs are amazing!The rooms are clean, ,tidy and comfortable. The shared bathroom is clean and tidy- great shower! Great service! Great value for money and the location is excellent.
Went there for an afternoon meeting. It was a lovely place and was so quiet that our meeting was undisturbed. Looks like it could be a nice community venue too.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff and locals are friendly. Awesome hotel in an awesome place steeped with history.
Stopped in off a cruise ship to watch the NFL playoffs. Locals were very friendly and accommodating.
When we walked in everyone knew we were tourists, but they were all do welcoming. The barman helped us find a beer that we liked. Everyone was fantastic. We even brought a t-shirt. In Dog We Trust

Mackies Place Just as wonderful the second time around. Sitting outside in the garden on the back deck. English bumble bees pollenating the flowers on a warm spring day. Crowded but great atmosphere just grand.
