   We spent the first night of our honeymoon at do ecote house and everything was amazing! The nicest, most thoughtful hosts. Wonderful meals. Its definitely worth having dinner at the BnB as well as the breakfast that is included. We loved the gorgeous gardens and all the cats to cuddle. It's so close to the beach and to shops/food. We stayed in the garden view room which was clean and beautiful. We would recommend this fantastic stay to anyone.

   I had a blissful four days at wonderful Dovecote Cottage. It is a home away from home! Nathan and Tim went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The room was perfect, the breakfast delicious, the location peaceful - a life renewing getaway. I can't wait to return.

   I travel *a lot* -- so when I say that this was the best B&B stay I've ever experienced, this is really saying something. The place is beautiful, with decorator touches that constantly had me doing double-takes. This is a comfy, lived-in, old-fashioned home with so many custom and artistic touches that you'll find yourself with hundreds of photos to sort through by the time you leave. The garden is breathtaking, designed and maintained by the B&B host with a degree in horticulture. The location is spectacular, with its gate opening onto a paved footpath that takes you directly to the beach. The food is wonderful -- be sure to let your hosts know what things you prefer or have always wanted to try! The current chief resident is the cutest kitten you've ever seen. But most important of all is that the hosts are delightfully friendly, very accommodating, delightful people: ready to give you all the space you need or to hang out, if that's what you want to do. Whether for a stress-reduction weekend, a couples retreat (complete with a hot tub and an on-location massage), or a place to work in solitude (bring your laptop and enjoy their nice Wi-Fi in their gorgeous guest lounge) -- this is the place you want to stay if you are planning a visit to Auckland. Seriously: you are going to catch yourself referring to it as "home."

   The best Bed and Breakfast that my wife and I have ever been to! Nathan and Tim are the most deliteful people. They have crafted a beautiful atmosphere through hard work, skill, and passion. I especially loved the fragrant scents from the flowers in the garden, the sound of the Doves in the morning, and the charm from the way the house has been stylized. We are thankful we had the opportunity to spend two nights here. I'd recommend trying the homemade jelly with their homemade bed during breakfast - it's truly delicious. -Andrew and Kaitlyn

   We stayed at Dovecote House B&B for four days and it couldn't have been a better start of our travels through New Zealand. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is really nice, breakfast was delicious with all the homemade jams and jellies and wayy too many tea flavors ;) On top of that the garden is so beautiful and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful, which was perfect as we were still adjusting after the jetlag. We enjoyed the dinner made by Nathan, who even made a beautiful bouquet with flowers from the garden since it was our anniversary that day. Oh and not to forget the cats, they were so cute and curious, we loved them. Nathan and Tim are wonderful hosts and we absolutely enjoyed staying in their gorgeous home.
