“Breakfast here is genuinely excellent. It’s at the top-end price-wise but the quality is superb and the portions generous. I had the ‘big’ breakfast (mixed grill I think it was called?) and my fellow diner had the caponata and raved about it. I wish I photographed them before we started…. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended.”

“I love The Patriot, it’s easily my second-favourite spot to enjoy a cold, refreshing beverage on a sunny afternoon. (First place goes to my lounge when the All Blacks are on.) I’m a proud regular, usually popping in once or twice a week to take advantage of a good 2 for 1 deal and some great food. But for the love of all things holy, please don’t change the rib sauce. I’m not sure if it was just tonight and my taste buds were having an identity crisis, but something tasted different. Those ribs are usually perfection and I frequently advertise them as the best ribs on the shore, so if there’s been a tweak to that glorious sauce, I’m begging you, bring it back!”

“The Paw Bar and Eatery is a fantastic place to come with family/friends/a date or even on your own! The twinkling lights with all the beautiful plants make you feel like you are in a tropical resort. The staff are an absolute gem- super friendly and quick! There is a lot of space to sit outdoor or indoors. They have great events such as trivia and live music. I hosted a staff party there and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. The doggy menu is also obviously a huge plus and they always have many board games. Sizzling skewers are now a new highlight, which you cannot find anywhere else in the hood! I highly recommend swinging by. Cheers!”

“Place of good food with nice environment and one side lake. There are hips of car parking. There entrance are very wheelchair and strollers friendly. They have lots of entrance and entry options. This is the great place for buffet or party or conference with staying in there hotels. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They just cleaned the tables within seconds. You don’t worry about used plates. All staffs are very responsive. They will give you super first for your services.”

I said I was there for Pearl Jam and he then put a grunge/alt rock playlist on without me even requesting it. Thank you for making it a great evening and the beers were quality.”

“Friendly staff who are helpful and know their alcohol, and mixers. Food is amazing, especially the pork ribs. Clean and tidy interior, gaming area is separate from the pub, so you can enjoy your company and not hear the pokies going off. Great place overall.”

“We had lunch here a couple days ago and it was positively lovely. The service was absolutely on point, the food was fresh, and the sunny day made the view absolutely spectacular. We ordered the sashimi plate, mussels, and scallops. The presentation on all of them was great and everything had great flavor. I would recommend this place fresh seafood overlooking the harbor!”

“We attended a private function here. It is a lovely beachside setting with a variety of indoor and outdoor seating options. The atmosphere is airy, with a nautical themed decor. The reason I would come back is for the food. I had chicken with creme brulee for dessert, and my husband had the steak followed by a cheese plate. I rarely order chichen out but was tempted by the description and not disappointed it was tender, and the flavour was incredible. I would return based on this dish alone. Service was great, efficient and friendly but not intrusive.”

“Great service when entered & while eating Food didn't take long to come out Taste of food was beautiful very flavoursom with generous size to share ✴️The butchers block that was huge size able to feed up to 8 ppl although could of done with a side of garden salad & the colsaw as the colsaw was to rich on its own & it was runny needing to be in a bowl but yes different salad to break the meat would of been nice, yes all the meat tasty & tender yes worth a block ppl ✴️The blacksmith cheeseburger was OK needed more mayo or burger sauce was a bit dry biting into it , was expecting cheesy flavor couldn't finding in the bite. ✴️Surf n Turf was on par with cooking steak medium rare prawns & muscles done right ✅️ just needed a bit more salad & sauce. ✴️ Ceasars salad✅️ beautiful meaty & tasty It Complemented the butcher block had shared it around so worth. ✴️ mash potatoe was very tasty & smooth shared between 3ppl was beautiful ✅️ ✴️ Garlic pizza bread was tasty ✅️ but would of just got a normal Garlic bread. ✴️ Jug of coke & raspberry costly & when got to taste had no fizz it tasted flat had advised the waitress she had bought out a new jug . When sitting and talking towards end of the meal felt rushed with waitresses coming in interrupted conversations by asking to take thing off the table & the supervisors other waiters lingering around the bar area to where they could advise waitresses of emptying tables to get ppl out sooner they got in . It was like that when eating we were seated not far and could see they were lingering around it was uncomfortable. If they could spread out or hang back in backhouse it wouldn't feel weird. Other than that would definitely go back & highly recommend but find seating further from bar area.”

You could tell they actually cared about making sure we were comfortable and happy. Service was fast, smooth, and super polite. It’s rare these days to see people go the extra mile, but the team here really did — and it made a big difference. Now about the food — wow. I’m not even exaggerating when I say everything was so fin’ good*. Packed with flavour, cooked perfectly, and served hot and fresh. Every bite just hit the spot. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do, because the quality was honestly next level. I wasn’t even that hungry when I walked in, and still ended up eating way more than I expected — it was that tasty. I don’t usually write long reviews, but this place deserves it.
