   The service was outstanding. I wish I had taken the names of the staff or manager (possibly the owner) I interacted with so I could personally acknowledge them in my review. Truly couldn’t have asked for more. I’ve had scallops at many places, but at Morell they were cooked perfectly. It’s rare to see a chef achieve that level of expertise and precision, especially during busy hours. A few items on the menu could be further refined, but overall the experience was excellent. The mocktail we ordered was amazing—beautifully curated and full of flavour.

   What a delight it was to eat at Morrell! The food was some of the best I’ve had in Auckland since moving here 3 years ago. Service was great and of course booking through First Table was seemless. Only thing I’d say that could’ve been better was the option to split the bill as there were 4 of us. But aside, top class experience! Thank you Morell team.

   Came here for lunch with my boyfriend — overall, a bit of a mixed bag. The house bread was easily the best part — warm, fresh, and full of flavor. We could’ve honestly just had that and been happy. I had the ravioli, which was okay — nothing special, but decent. My boyfriend’s risotto was slightly too salty, which took away from the dish overall. Service was fine — not bad, but nothing memorable. The restaurant decor, on the other hand, was really well done. Great ambiance and a nice place to sit and relax.

   Food - Salty, too much seasoning and dessert was too sweet too. Everything was flavored too much. However, I loved how everything was displayed neatly. Service - good. Up selling was a bit too much but well served. Price - expensive. We paid 220 for two including 3 wines, everything in the photo and one dessert. Overall - the vibe and service were good but I felt it was overpriced and food was average.

   Last night on a freezing wet blustery night we celebrated our daughters birthday at Morel. We had a really fun night. The food was fabulous, the chef really understands flavour. Our portions were of a good size and the choice of food on our antipasto platter was very different and beautifully presented. Connor our waiter was excellent and very professional. Thank you Morel for making our evening with you very enjoyable.

   Visited last week and what a lovely ambience. There is a bar at the entrance, and seats along the side. I ordered this delicious tuna sashimi with wasabi mayo, tomatoes and crust. Sparkling water is a courtesy. Staff was fast and helpful. There are other dishes I want to try and I expect the same quality as the one I had. Great place for a romantic dinner as well.
