We recently discovered The Roll and are really impressed and thrilled to discover a new local spot in Mt Albert. In the daytime they serve familiar brunch offerings including homemade croissants. We ordered the avocado on toast with mozarella balls which was tasty even though we skipped the poached eggs, and the croffle was a welcome decadent sweet treat. The real standouts are the Vietnamese dishes. The beef pho was beautifully fragrant and full of flavour, and the iced Viet coffee with condensed milk was perfect on a humid Auckland day. For dinner, the menu shifts into fully Vietnamese mode and it's all delicious and well priced. We enjoyed the affordable mocktails, the bun cha with tender pork, fresh noodles, and salad, and the special fried rice, which was crunchy and flavoured with black pepper. A great spot whether you’re after a quick coffee, a treat, or a full Vietnamese meal. Highly recommended.

Tried the Tuesday specials as promoted on their instagram. Really enjoyed the crispy pork bahn mi and charcoal chicken pho, both fresh with good flavour. Decor is clean and tidy, music wasnt to my taste. Keen to try more of the menu.

Not your typical Vietnamese food, it’s way better. The flavours here are fresh and bold, and everything tastes a step above the usual Viet places. The manager is really nice too, very welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a meal here with our children and found the food nice, the service prompt and polite, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It's mostly Asian fusion food on the menu, but they have kept some of the classics from Cinoserie, the place they replaced.

Visited The Roll yesterday and tried Bun Cha, Stir fried Beef PHO, Broken Rice with Pork Ribs and Vietnamese Pancake. The food was fresh and full of flavour. I was especially impressed with Bun Cha, the meatballs was so tender and smoky, perfectly with the dipping sauce. The Broken Rice was fantastic too. We were all really happy with the meal. The staff and service were wonderful. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Chinoiserie is a true gastronomic gem in Auckland. With bao buns that are second to none, an extraordinary crispy cauliflower dish cooked to perfection, attentive staff, and a captivating ambience, this Asian fusion establishment is a must-visit for food enthusiasts and explorers of culinary delights. Prepare to embark on a flavor-packed journey that will leave you craving more.

An absolute gem. Really loved everything we got. Food came out quickly and was well presented. Does close kinda early? We went on a Friday night which said it was open β€œtill late” but last call for food was at 8:30pm. So make sure you don’t go too late. My only complaint is the napkins they have are really thin and flimsy which make eating juicy bao buns and sticky ribs a bit more of a challenge.

Gathering from all the reviews I was so worried that this was gonna be a dim dark and blue seating but was pleasantly surprised with the lightly lit interior, beautiful decor and funky music! Loved the dragon which wrapped around the kitchen. Waited to be seated but was served at once. Ordered the pork bun, ribs and coconut pudding. Pork bun For some reason I wasn't wowed by the display but was still impressed by the size of the pork. The bun itself was very soft and pleasant to the bite, pork was flavorful, more stringy than I would have liked but tasty. A little crisp and fatty which was the best part. Best paired with their available sauces; siracha and their special gong sauce which was delish! 7/10 Ribs First to be served and the aroma was enticing wow. BUT first bite and ugh dry and the least amount of sauce served ribs ever. Some parts were crispy around the bone and that wasn't too bad but overall not impressed. 6/10 Rice pudding Extremely creamy and the coconut toasted to the perfect amount of crispyness. Not extremely sweet, a hint of sweetness and was really yummy. Infused with coconut jelly bits within the rice, a lovely blend!! 8/10 Overall 3 stars since the mains just didn't quite live up to expectations. The dessert definitely saved the mood though, and thank goodness for their gong sauce!

Haven't been in Owairaka in ages but this is an absolute gem for this area! The prices were well within reach for casual eating and dining. The waitress who served us was fantastic as it was fairly busy night and we were just outside. We had a group of 8 so it was a matter of waiting. But we weren't left in the dark as she kept following up on us. The food was top grade with all the asian flavors we all crave. The snapper wings specifically was a gold special and the rest of the crew was happy with this place. Will definitely be back! Please have more specials! Keen to try out everything.
