This restaurant seriously needs a hygiene review and a food quality check before serving customers. We ordered bread with burrata as a starter, and when the waitress brought clean plates for the dish, one of them was extremely dirty β with visible grime and even hair on it. It was honestly the most disgusting plate Iβve ever been served in a restaurant. Our main dishes arrived shortly after. At first, they looked acceptable, but the chicken in the Caesar salad tasted overcooked and extremely bitter. When I turned the chicken over, it was completely burnt and inedible. To their credit, the chicken add-on was refunded, but the issue should never have happened in the first place. To make matters worse, our table was close to the toilets and back kitchen, with sandflies and flies constantly flying around while we were eating. There was also no air conditioning, which made the experience very uncomfortable in hot weather. Iβve dined at hundreds of restaurants in Auckland, and this was by far one of the most ridiculous experiences Iβve ever had.

I didnβt think the food tasted good enough for the prices ($30-35 for mains, $20-25 for small plates). Menu descriptions also werenβt very representative of the dishes. I ordered the Korean fried chicken burger, and it was covered in BBQ sauce, which I dislike and which wasnβt mentioned on the menu, and tasted kind of burnt. I couldnβt finish it. For the flavours of that burger and simple chips, I wouldnβt pay more than $20. Another member of our party found the Caesar salad surprisingly spicy. However, the drinks were good, and there were nice vegetarian options and lots of seating.

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch, little miss 5.5 was not only all smiles but very well looked after including sneaky chocolate delivery from the lovely Emilie who expertly serviced our needs. Attentive, friendly and anticipating our every need, this girl needs a bar tab from the owners or at the very least a juicy slab of meat loaded with truffle butter!! A true pleasure of an experience with delightful food, service and even better views!

Got an opportunity to try their new menu. Lamb Wontons lacked a bit of zing but the lamb filling has been like I've never seen before. Very full wontons. Try it with the hot sauce on table. Romesco with the prawns is to die for. Try finishing not while it's hot though. Lastly the risotto....one of the best I've had. Creamy and full with perfectly done fish. Definitely a hot item on the menu. Shout out to Mercedes for making sure our orders came out ok time and we were looked after during dinner.

This was a great lunch. The food we ordered was excellent. I highly recommend seafood chowder and calamari- both with generous portions and reasonable prices. Or waitress Jessie was very helpful and her customer service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Itβs an ok place, not somewhere I would proactively recommend but not bad either. We went there at 9 pm because there werenβt many other options. They had a small late night menu from which we chose salt & pepper squid and regular fries, because they didnβt have the beer battered ones. Squid barely had any flavor and fries were just ok. It was probably a bit pricey for the standard quality of food but it wasnβt bad.

Tasty food, reasonable price, comfy high seating with a panorama view to the sea and Rangitoto Island! A perfect spot for a sea breeze lunch. The mussel and shell fish a little over cooked and a little chewy.

We have visited this local bar and restaurant a few times and have never been dissatisfied. On our recent visit, we went with a large group for a meal. We were put in a separate room, away from the rest of the bar which was nice because the bar was noisy. The room seemed recently renovated and had a lovely atmosphere. The menu has appeared to have been updated recently. From the food that my table got, I was pleasantly surprised at the presentation and quality of the meals. Everything was very big too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat, a drink, or a sit-down meal. Its location on the waterfront allows you to sit outside and view the ocean if you wish, or have a more private dinner. My main criticism would just come around the noise level inside.
