   Wow - where do I begin. Firstly, our server was lovely, and offered insight into the menu. The cocktails were tasty and lovely. But the atmosphere was dark and dim. Unfortunately it was a real shame when you feel unwelcome by the manager, who was on his phone, making comments about what we had ordered and not say a word to us throughout our stay. The arrogance was steaming off the man who couldn’t care less what we spent, as long as it was “more than just a bowl of fries” on what was not a busy night for them. My apologies for spending so much on cocktails, and a shame that our table only wanted fries. Next time we will go elsewhere.

   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stanley Avenue in Milford, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming and stylish ambiance of the restaurant. The service was top-notch, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. For starters, I ordered the sourdough bread, which was fresh and had a delicious crust, and the arancini, which were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Both were excellent, but the real standout dish was the duck, which I ordered as my main. It was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and juicy meat, and the accompanying sauce was a delicious complement to the dish. Speaking of wine, the wine list at Stanley Avenue was beyond good - it was truly exceptional. With a wide variety of bottles from all over the world, there was something to suit every taste and budget. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Milford. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the wine list is top-notch. I will definitely be returning soon!

   Wow: It's a totally amazing place. Great food, wonderful wine. Matt is very knowledgeable and suggested the perfect wine to go with our exquisite food. Nothing was too difficult. Our waitress was a delight and very attentive. Highly recommend this place. Our second visit and a third will be a must next time we visit from Wellington.

   We popped in for after work drinks and a couple of tasty snacks at this local gem. If you haven't been here it's well worth a visit! The Truffle Mushroom Arancini are a must, so is the Beef Tartare. Great atmosphere and superb wine list too! Absolutely recommended.

   We had a birthday dinner at the Bistro. The vibe is amazing and waiters are super friendly. We ordered fish and wine. The fish was absolutely amazing, couldn’t get enough! Then we had dessert. A chocolate something with caramel artichoke, OMG it was good. Will definitely return!

   Definitely worth a visit. We received a nice welcome from Anna and Catherine. It was blustery last evening and we hadn't made a reservation but they were so accommodating. I ordered the beef which was very tender and my friend enjoyed her chicken dish. We shared a generous side dish of kumara and goats cheese. Dessert was limonocello and also banana meringue with rum sauce (a little too sweet...no problem, they would let the chef know). Stanley Ave has an incredible wine selection. They have tried to reduce noise with acoustic paneling.
