“I can’t speak highly enough about this motel and the awesome owners Brendon and Tina. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay, even allowing us an early check-in and late checkout to work around medical appointments. Brendon even brought in some mobility aids to make life easier in the unit. It was like a home away from home for us…spacious, clean, quiet, well equipped and very handy to some great eateries. They even had pot plants to give it a homely feel. We will definitely look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Christchurch.”

“Fantastic location in Morrinsville, 5 minutes walk from some good restaurants including a delicious Thai meal. The room was so spacious, beautifully clean, comfortable, quiet.”

“Good motel that is reasonably priced. Didn't use the pool and spa but kids were enjoying it. It was also pet friendly which was nice to see. Friendly dogs about with some owners.”

“Possibly the cleanest and newest place I stayed in NZ. The room was huge, bathroom was spacious, kitchen set up was nice with fridge. Highly recommend the stay at this lodge! Only downside is bit far from CBD so about 30min walk into town.”

“My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay over the Easter weekend , we stayed in room 17, it is nicely laid out spacoius and a really nice in room spa, not even a fire alarm could get my wife out of it. Thank you Fay and Chris for making us feel welcomed. Would have given a 10/10 if these allowed. We will definitely be back .”

The motel was perfectly located just across a major Supermart (Pak n Save), and their prompt service made check-in seamless. Communication was effortless, and the cleanliness of the beddings and surroundings was impressive. Most importantly, Anita and Shane's friendly and helpful nature made us feel right at home. “Had an amazing time, we stayed in room 9, which had big bed, air conditioning, coffee machine, smart TV, fridge, microwave and a comfortable bathroom with everything you need, I could tell the rooms were older buildings but they have been renovated and improved to a high standard. “The most beautiful view from the room we stayed in. Our room is at the corner of the lodge, so we can see the best view of the Otago Peninsula. Sadly, the deck that wrapped around our room in an L shape looked pretty old and needed urgent TLC. The room includes breakfast, which is set up in the old stables. The breakfast is very good and the stables really set the vibe for the day.”

“Lovely hosts. Price was $25, not bad for the great location! Drive getting there was a little crazy but beautiful - narrow winding road, some drivers that need to slow down. There are bathrooms on site, and more at the beach car park just a 5 minute walk away. Right next to some great hikes and the black sand beach!”

“Our room was clean, modern, and had everything we needed. It's a busy area but still quiet. Walking distance to a really nice mall and McDonald's. The people running it are very nice and helpful. I definetly recommend staying here. We used points to stay, but the regular price is really good!!!!”

“Stay here regularly for work trips. Rooms are always clean and tidy and warm enough if you're want. Bathroom clean and showers are great. Owners are super friendly. Plenty of restaurants and takeaways within talking distance. Always recommend to friends, colleagues and customers to stay there”

“We only stayed one night, were wishing we had booked for longer! Was a neat tidy unit, heater was on when we got there which was nice......we were late with our arrival and they couldn't have been more understanding. Rural location, really quiet, no light coming into room at night and pet friendly!! Cutest receptionist ever, thank you Mr Darcy. Would happily go back and recommend.”

“We stayed at Pirongia Forest Lodge as a high-school hockey team. The facilities were clean and well set up. The kitchen made cooking for our large group a breeze. The beds were comfortable. Kate, the warden is lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed the facilities and our morning forest walks behind the cabins. The view is spectacular from almost every aspect. Highly recommend taking a large group to stay there. The only draw back was having no Internet connection so we couldn't access our game recordings. But the cell coverage was very good. And they have a great big screen set up for watching films etc.”
