Our 'go to' place to stay if one or both of us is going to Welly from the Wairarapa. Directly opposite Trentham station. Good restaurant next door. Peaceful and secure with comfortable well maintained rooms. Laundry facilities. Helpful friendly staff. Highly recommended

What an outstanding place to stay. We have arrived from WhakatΔne, to find a clean,well resourced, comfortable unit, perfect for us. Even room inside for the bikes. Stoked with this place, and immediately across the road from the train station.
We have stayed here twice over the last year. The two bedroom units are amazing. Queen and a single up stairs and a queen downstairs. Three TVs and everything else you could want. The rooms are immaculate and well very well looked after. The laundry is cheap and convenient and the train station, pub and bottle store right next door make it very well placed! The staff are super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Totara Lodge!
Was a nice stay, room was clean and all the little bathroom Extras down to a makeup wipe was fantastic a nice note and chocolate on arrival. Small room but well set out.
We stayed in the 1 bedroom and it was beautiful! So comfortable and warm! Definitely feel at home. By far one of the best accommodations mine and my family have stayed at especially for the price!! We had a mezzanine type room and it also had Sky television in both rooms which was awesome! Thankyou will definitely be back again.
I am a frequent traveler for work and this place is absolutely perfect for my needs. Great room size, great shower pressure, super comfortable bed, quiet heat pump, great location, delicious room service meals plus breakfast and they even left a little welcome card with a chocolate on the bed! Will be making this my regular local spot when travelling here every month.
Amazing lodge, fantatsic service. The chocolate bar on arrival and card was a really nice touch. Shower temp and pressure perfect! Comfy bed, good food/restaurant options. Breakfast amazing! Will definitely return!
At the Totara Lodge we had just what we needed a comfy bed, lovely fresh decor, huge bathroom and small seating area with coffee making facilities. Very clean an tidy. Looks like it has recently been renovated. A very pleasant stay at a low budget rate. Walls between rooms are a bit thin but we did not have noisy fellow guests.
