“Luxurious and spacious living and dining space and bedroom. Paddy is a great host and exceeded expectations with a complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday which we shared around the huge fireplace. A plentiful breakfast set us up for the day. Looking forward to going back.”
“Outside of the city, and so peaceful. Lovely breakfast, comfortable bed and will appointed room. Definitely recommend.”
“Stunning views, tranquil location, serenity. Great living spaces, decks, big rooms.”
“Very nice place to stay, thank you!”
“We chose this place due to its proximity to Hobbiton and the pictures of its gorgeous views. And after arriving, we were blown away with just how beautiful the property was. We appreciated how quiet and relaxing our stay was. Shona and Dave (the owners) were lovely to chat with during our check in. If you need a quiet and serene get away, this is the place.”
“If you go down the steps and onto the pathway you will find a amazing miniature waterfall and if you come at night you will also find the glowworms just make sure you bring your torch”
“This is a really great place to stay in Raglan. There's a really big kitchen and a smaller one. There's free wifi everywhere and the facilities gets cleaned properly everyday. They even have a sauna and a big chill out area. The people are very nice and the surf lessons they offer are great as well. They also offer yoga lessons everyday on a awesome platform with a stunning view on the sea. There is really nothing to complain about, I can highly recommend this hostel.”
“Fantastic lodge looking right over Lake Karapiro, perfect for family getaways, wedding parties, sporting groups and small corporate groups. The service was outstanding, Jo and Jon are fabulous hosts and the decor within the lodge itself was superb. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back!”
“Lovely chilled out place, friendly owners, horses in the back field, what more could one ask for?”
“Birthday Boy. My wife booked two nights at Moose Lodge as a surprise for my birthday. I had no idea where we were going and when we arrived at the gates I couldn't believe we were going in to Moose Lodge. We were greeted and welcomed by Bevan. We were given a guided tour of the lodge and were blown away by the amazing point of difference displayed. Quite rare and an extra ordinary location and aspect with a stunning, calming view. Lovely rooms, quite and discreet. Beautiful meals and add to that the thermal pools, golf on a site with a quite challenging 9 holes. From the start of our stay & experience Bevan, Shirley and staff treated us with sincere friendliness and amazing service. We recommend people wishing to relax, enjoy and unwind that the Moose Lodge experience should be put at the top of your list. We will be back. Thank you”
“Stayed here several times a few years ago and will be staying here again later this year. Most comfortable and relaxing place to stay with a wonderful breakfast and amazing hosts.”
“A rare find! The view from the garden room is stunning, with the sound of the stream lulling you to sleep. Best ever linen. Very welcoming hosts. Really recommend a walk at nearby Harry Ell Track and a drive up to Sugarloaf Scenic Reserve if you’re visiting!”
“Very clean (spotless!), new and well appointed rooms in a quiet location. Friendly service. Bed is comfortable, nice large TV with full Sky. All at a great price. Highly recommended.”
“Fantastic motel and really good value for money would definitely recommend”
“Lovely spacious room. Incredibly comfortable king bed. The location is absolutely ideal, close to the beach and local restaurants. The staff are very helpful and polite. Clean room at a great price. Just what we needed to feel comfortable. I will be back again. Thank.you for a wonderful stay.”
“Oaklands is great. We stayed here for a week or so at the beginning of our 1 year working holiday, and chose to stay again when we returned to Auckland at the end of our year. Dorms and private rooms are nice, kitchen is big and everything is clean enough. Common areas are nice, both inside and out. Staff are helpful. And it's not too expensive. Good value for your money. I recommend staying at this hostel and climbing Mt. Eden, which is a quick hike right next door.”
“Best Hostel I‘ve ever been to. Wanted to stay for a weekend and bow it‘s already more than am month. Living in the Hostel feels like renting a house with friends and family. I would recommend it!”
“Amazing office lady!!!!! Had a wonderful stay will definitely be back to stay”
“Very highly recommend this motel! The location is perfect - right beside a bus stop, and walking distance to the supermarket. The daily service was excellent. The studio we stayed in was perfect - new and clean. It was very quiet. The bed was really comfortable with a bamboo topped mattress. The staff were super helpful and very friendly. We look forward to staying again.”
“Great motel, lovely staff, room was super clean and comfortable, plenty of amenities and free guest laundry was a bonus! We stayed a week here and couldn't have been more comfortable. Happy come back.”
“The unit is better than expected. This is like home away from home, it is so well equipped. The unit has obviously been refurbished. Very clean, tidy, and so handy to the hospital. Just bring earplugs if you're not used to traffic noise.”
“Nice property. Had a mate's wedding there. The ambience was great. The rooms were pretty clean. Loved it overall.”
“Great owners, and nice accommodation”
“Great value and plenty of space in rooms to move around easily. Lovely big bathrooms with good sized showers. Appreciate their 11 am check out time.”
“Loved staying here, the people and atmosphere were really nice there. It had a rustic style that gave it a proper hostel vibe unlike some others around Auckland. Place was clean and staff were super friendly. The area is not the best but I never had any issues walking the street at night. The only issue I had was the dryer costs $6 and it didn't dry my stuff, I had to use it twice to get my stuff dry. Apart from that I'd recommend this to anyone.”
“Stunning little lodge near Auckland, and convenient for the airport.”
“The cleanest, most comfortable motel we have ever stayed at. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cleaners certainly take pride in their work. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.”
“For an older motel, the hospitality and service, and the location to the hospital far outweighed the upgrades the motel does not have. When my husband had a heart attack and was helicoptered to Wellington, the beautiful lady that runs the motel was extremely accommodating, including letting me leave my car there after I checked out so I didn't have to pay for hospital parking while I was waiting for him to be discharged. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was more coffee, hot chocolate, and sugar sachets than any other motel I have ever stayed in, and for main road, it was pretty quiet in my room. The location to Wellington Regional Hospital couldn't be better. Literally straight across the road. And there are lots of amenities in walking distance including a supermarket. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. Would I recommend you stay? Absolutely, as long as you can overlook the need of upgrades and just appreciate what a hard working dedicated motellier provides in terms of hospitality and warmth.”
“Perfectly impersonal and brilliantly minimalist. Big, bright windows, and furnishings with simple, clean lines made the room an ideal sanctuary. Kettle, microwave, fridge, TV, and tea/coffee supplies covered all the bases. A cool little guest closet down the hall held dishware, cutlery, irons and boards, as well as few extra linens. This keeps down the cost of supplying every room with items not everyone uses. The lobby entry and kiosk check-in procedures are simple and well-communicated. As a business model, this hotel is about as sleek an efficient of a passive income generator as you can get in the hospitality space. I want to emphasize that even though the room is simply furnished and designed to be easily cleaned, maintained, and turned over for the next guest, it is not a blank cell, but more like a lovely lKEA showspace. As a bonus, the excellent Oikos Hellenic Cuisine restaurant is just across the road.”
“Great cheap affordable private rooms available”
