Stayed at the Matariki Motor Lodge recently. The room was cleaned really well every day and my stuff was never moved. It’s on a main road but quiet inside thanks to the double glazing. The owners are friendly and leave you to it unless you need something. Beds are comfortable, and the place is wheelchair friendly. Really decent place to stay.
Tidy clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Close to town and even though it is on the main road it was quiet. We will return.
We stayed here for only one night, but the room and service was very good. The room was clean and very comfortable. Very pleased we chose their motor lodge to stay the night.
Stayed at Matariki Motor Lodge for four nights in December. Wonderful room. Comfortable, quiet and every feature you could hope for. Very nice management. Cannot recommend this Motel highly enough. I will definitely stay here again when in Te Awamutu.
I had such a great stay here last week! Travelling for work is never fun but having such a clean and comfortable room made being away a bit more enjoyable. Owners were lovely and friendly. The location is so close to everything. Would stay again!

This is not the first time I have stayed here and definitely won't be the last. The rooms are clean and tidy and well kept. Good showers and kitchen amenities. Very comfy beds. Everything is clean and tidy and neat little touches to make the room more welcoming. The people are friendly and helpful. It has been over 6 years since I last stayed here and yet nothing looks dated or worn out. An obvious effort to maintain a high standard. Like I said, I will definitely be staying here again.
Home away from home, friendly staff, (and doggies). Spacious rooms. Different sizes and layouts available. Kitchen well equipped and clean. 5 minute walk to town, shops, restaurants. Still close to countryside and nature walks.
Very clean and comfortable place to stay. The room had everything we needed. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. This was our third stay here and we will continue to come back when we're in town. Thank you very much!
Lovely cosy, quiet place even though it’s next to the road. Easy to find. Stayed overnight on journey through. Very clean, all the stuff you need. Super comfortable bed. Really impressed. Eco friendly use of buckets for water like waiting for the shower to get hot. They use it on the gardens to save water from the town supply. Great idea.
