   What a wonderful experience we had at Te Mata Lodge. We stayed for three nights for the National Secondary School Athletics Champs, and our accommodation couldn't have been more perfect. With a huge bed in the lounge and two single beds in a separate bedroom, it was perfect for us. The spa bath was a huge bonus for my young athlete. Loved that there were enough mirrors for both of us in the mornings (most motels and hotels get this wrong!). Loved the coffee and tea selections too, and the biscuits. Our host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and genuinely excited over my daughter's success at the competition. And even enthusiastically helped with cutting up the hair ribbons!!! Thank you! The rooms were immaculately clean. A number of restaurants were so close that we walked there, as they were just a couple of minutes across the road, same with the supermarket. And lastly, they rang to say that we'd left something important behind after we checked out. Lots of places wouldn't. This was much appreciated.

   The room definitely in high standard of clean. The location is walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. The owner is easy access, willing to help, and professional. Highly recommend.

   My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay over the Easter weekend , we stayed in room 17, it is nicely laid out spacoius and a really nice in room spa, not even a fire alarm could get my wife out of it. Thank you Fay and Chris for making us feel welcomed. Would have given a 10/10 if these allowed. We will definitely be back .

   We stayed here for a conference, and even though the place was fully booked, the Spa Studio had plenty of room for two. The cleanliness was 10/10, and all amenities were provided, including free use of the washing machine, with the dryer costing just $2 coins or the option to air dry for free. The newly installed light-up mirror in the bathroom was a wonderful touch—I absolutely loved it and really appreciated having it! The location was perfect, right across the road from Havelock North village, with restaurants and shops nearby. A big thank you to Fay, who was such a down-to-earth and welcoming host. We’ll definitely stay here again!

   My husband and I lost our home in Cyclone Gabrielle, we needed time out for ourselves if only for a night. From the moment I called to book ourselves a room, the voice on the other end of the line sounded warm. When we checked in, I was given a very sincere hug from the receptionist. She escorted us to our room...what fantastic service. The room was immaculately clean, the spa bath gave my husband and I the opportunity to unwind, relax and doze off...from my husband and I...thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and sincerity

   Stayed there for a night during work trip. Very good location. Great room with very friendly service. Room was clean, tidy, spacious and with a spa bath. Close proximity to shops and eateries. Nothing to complain about really.
